  My Personal Opinion Service aside, the food was still good though prices are notably higher than Momotalo. Since the beef didn't shine, I'll probably skip that and just concentrate on the seafood and pork. Your opinion will probably be swayed by the mostly Japanese clientele you see frequenting this place but I actually prefer Momotalo for the beef and service. The one thing I did like over Momotalo is the brightness, cleanliness and availability of partitioned spaces for a more private dining. The place does deserve a revisit if I want a mainly seafood (and pork) BBQ though I'd rather give the one in Desa Sri Hartamas a try instead of this one...just to see if there is any notable difference. In the end, did it endear me as much as Momotalo did? Probably not! ^_~

  Restoran Meng Kee is located at Jalan Kelang Lama on the main road itself and is directly opposite The Scott Garden. We were there on a Wednesday evening after 15km of cycling from Lake Titiwangsa. The food was ordered and served unexpectedly fast.

  Overall, we are quite happy with our meal here. If you are around Old Klang Road and are looking for a good Japanese BBQ Restaurant, this is the place for you. You should not have any trouble looking for parking as there are ample parking space here.

  We also had the Horumon combination platter of under tongue meat, prime beef tongue and pillar tripe @ RM38.16. They are marinated in salt and pepper, and are recommended to be dipped into the lemon juice to counter the saltiness. The thinly sliced beef tongues had a unique tender and chewy texture that I personally love.

In fact, there are many eateries all along Old Klang Road from high end to low, unique and authentic too in some cases. But today I will introduce this Meng Kee restaurant, which is mostly full with locals be it lunch or dinner. It is located just opposite Scott Garden.

  Pork ribs in soya bean paste (RM16) , the bean paste coated the ribs and I was worried that this will be overly salty but it wasn’t and they ooze the wonderful fragrant of bean paste with a tinge of sweetness. The ribs were tender and oh so tasty..i want to lick the plate ! Finger licking good and so much more.
