Data Sim Card at Kansai Airport. A 30 days 3GB sim card can range from 4000 yen to 9000 yen. I pickup at TRE (3GB 30 days) at JAL counter for 4500 yen. Saw another similar package selling for 4000 yen at the vending machine.

PS: Cheaper options are available in town, selling at places like BIC Camera.

Quiet and clean apartment, 20m walk away from Dotonbori area (pretty far), 10m away from the nearest JR station (good if you hold JR pass).

Octopus Takoyaki 350yen, too soft and mushy.

Hiking Mount Hiei from Sakamoto. The hike is only an hour, and there is an UNESCO temple complex at the top. Autumn had yet to turn much within the forest, but there are a few full peak maple tree near the temple.

We went up pretty late so have to give up on the plan to hike down on Kyoto side, so we take the cable car down instead.

Though I am not a fan of Soba, but this is pretty good, especially the soup.

Totoro shop at Osaka Station, LUCUA 9th floor.

Though it is a franchise, the coffee, food and dessert are pretty good.

Convenient place for early breakfast when passing by Nara station.

Nice playground in front of Tenri, there is a small market on Sunday morning as well.

A walking trail along farmland and temples. Seasonal fruits on sale with affordable price. Bought some persimmon which are really sweet.

Egg wrapped rice, pretty alright.

3GB 30 Days sim card for 2800 Yen.

The main shopping street.

Absolutely superb crepe. Sweet Mont Blanc is nice, but pork with mushroom crepe is amazing.
无敌甜品,尤其是五层肉蘑菇Crepe,Mont Blanc 甜点也好吃。

Soft cheese pancake breakfast, nice. Other options are simple but nice.
软绵绵乳酪Pancake, 好吃不腻。其他早点也不错。

Osaka Castle Park is pretty big, beautiful and free. Only entrance to the Osaka castle need to pay.

First Ramen in Japan, very good.

Super near to the train station.

Hot Pot and Skewers are pretty alright.

Hiking Mount Daisen on a drizzling and misty day. Less than 5 degree Celsius on early November rainy day. The mountain is really beautiful despite totally misty at the top.

We went up on the Natsumaya mountain trail which took us less than 3 hours to reach the top, as most Japanese elders overtook us. We came down on the Gyoja trail which go through a beautiful birch autumn forest, Ogamiyama Shrine and Daisen Temple.

Besides visiting Daisenji, walk further into the Ogamiyama Shrine, which I think is more beautiful. Don't forget to stroll the walkway of the forest, which is very beautiful in Autumn.

Bought some souvenir snack, the taste is alright.

Simple hotel, free bread for breakfast and 24h hot drink and ice cream.

This place probably require reservation and not ready to serve non Japanese speaking customer.

It is a few old street and a canal, a tourist spot with some boutique shop. I would say the experience is only average.

The curry rice is good, and ice cream parfait is very good.

Plan to have lunch here, but it ended at 3pm and only coffee and cakes are available. The place is pretty quiet and it is a wooden timber cabin.
