Today we take a break at Nong Khiaw, mainly because we have run out of interesting places to go and transportation out of Nong Khiaw is only available in the morning. Boat from Mong Ngoi starts at 9.30 AM and reach Nong Khiaw in less than an hour. It's a bit cold in the morning.

Nong Khiaw is a bit more lively on weekday as compared to the our arrival day on Sunday. Tuk-tuk is actively transporting people to the bus station. We bunk at Sunrise Bungalow next to the river. Nothing fancy, but a good river view.

I think Mong Ngoi is far more interesting and peaceful than Nong Khiaw, with less walking involved. I walk to the bus station to check out the transport arrangement, a minivan driver told us to reach early by 7.30 AM (If there are enough people, there shall be a minivan to Luang Namtha). Else, we would need to pay the full fare to Luang Prabang (40,000 Kip/person) and stop at Pak Mong to switch bus to Luang Namtha.

We didn't do much for the day, just laze around the river beach. Later we found out there is a panorama view point.

Indian food at Deen is nice, a good change from the Standard Lao Food. We have both lunch and dinner here (we found out later Delilah didn't serve dinner). Naan is not available for lunch, but Naan plus vegetable gravy for dinner is superb.
