The reviews I read on their Facebook Page seem pretty mixed of late with complaints of either the long wait for a table, the service or they didn't fancy the type of food served. As far as the food was concerned, I had no complaints on the two we tried that morning. Not only did it taste good, it was beautifully plated as well. In fact, their version of french toast is the best version I've had so far. I actually liked that their menu is a bit more creative than the usual cafe food we get elsewhere but if you're looking for some variation of a big breakfast, you won't find it here. So, patrons looking for the standard breakfast fare of bacon, ham, sausages and eggs done any way, let me forewarn you that you might be up for some disappointment. Our half an hour wait, during peak brunch hours on a public holiday, was more than acceptable for a place like this with so much awareness. Due to the crowd, even the owner cum chef helped cleared tables and served us, so I'm pleased with the service. When we left a little over an hour later, there was still a perpetual queue (but none at the other eateries). So, what does that tell you about its popularity...or their food? ;) Personally, I would return in a heartbeat. I would so love to try more of their food...and eat that french toast again! ^o^

Personally, we enjoyed pork bone and tomato soup the most. Sukiyaki pairs well with beef slices; tomato broth is appetizing with tangy sweet flavours: pork bone soup goes well with all meat, delicious to go with noodles by the end of the shabu-shabu session. Lastly, the spicy version of pork bone soup – mild in spiciness, almost child-friendly.

Red curry [Pork (RM19.80)/ Seafood (RM23.80)] If you adore hot and spicy food, this dish is not to be missed. There's just something so unique about Thai's red coconut, which sits on the sweeter side in comparison to Malaysian curry, but delicious in their very own distinct way. This curry is ideal to be eaten with rice, its thick and savoury broth would make you engulf the rice in no time. We opted for pork, and they were pretty fresh and came in decent amount. Basically their curry is on par with most of the Thai food chains out there, but are more reasonably priced. So the next time you're craving for Thai curry but not ready to burn a hole in your wallet, this place is definitely your go to.

It can be a hard thing to find a slice of quiet, relaxed ambience, combined with quality, contemporary European cuisine near the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Even scarcer in the city are European dishes, whose ingredients are sourced locally as part of a farm-to-fork concept. This is exactly what Roost, nestled away amidst the bustle of Bangsar, offers. A neat, refined and remarkably fresh look into the goodness of local ingredients, elevated to pleasant heights by Danish head chef Albert Frantzen and his team.

The meaning behind the word "Roost" is a place where birds regularly settle or congregate to rest at night. Minimalist and rustic interior design which makes you feel at ease as you savour their modern European cuisine. To ensure that they only give their best to the patrons, Roost adopts a farm-to-fork initiative.

The absolutely scrumptious seafood spaghetti is enticing enough to make me come back just for it (in fact, my friend returned just for that). Of course, there are lots more to try and I hear the risottos and pizzas are good too. Charming cafe, unique dishes, reasonable prices, warm service...are some of the other reasons you may want to make a trip here. So, grab a table at Table 9 and feel right at home with some comfort food that's always fresh, always appetising! ^_~

Pattisez Malaysia at Bangsar had been one of the highlight by many others as it is the Australian bakery-cafe’s first franchise branch outside Canberra, Australia. The cafe was previously known for their epic Freakshakes monster-sized milkshakes heaped high with out-of-control toppings. In Malaysia, they were one of the early adopters to drive the trend previously along with few other inspired cafes.

It was a random weekend night that me and some others decided to head to Bangsar, not for beer, but for coffee. As we drove by Jalan Telawi, we saw Pattisez there, and it just became our spot.

Reasons to visit: Of course the FreakShakes™ are a big draw, but the variety, creativity and freshness offered by the full menu makes Pâtissez a great place for a coffee or a meal out. The fact that they are so keen to engage on a level platform with their customer base is a big plus and the menu will be developing over time meaning that there should always be a new dish to try with every visit.

Pince & Pints Restaurant

32, Jalan Telawi 5 Bangsar Baru 59100 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia

Pince & Pints Lobster Restaurant and Bar aims to provide diners with the epicurean experience of having a whole live lobster cooked according to their preference. A carefully curated beverage programme supplements the experience. At Pince & Pints, we believe in providing good food, good service, and good value. By choosing to import directly from lobster fisheries that practice sustainable fishing methods, Pince & Pints is dedicated in working with these fisheries to ensure the lobster population is robust and healthy. All our lobsters are wild-caught and air-flown directly from the Atlantic Coast; they are transported to a state-of-the-art facility, and stored in a conducive environment before they are delivered in prime condition to the restaurant. At Pince & Pints, you can expect to taste lobsters of the freshest and most premium quality. The owners believe it doesn’t take a master chef to make good lobster dishes; rather, it takes a great lobster.

Chili Lobster - MYR158++ (MYR177.5 nett after 6% GST and 6% service charge). This dish does not taste spicy at all. It is kind of sweet. We feel that the lobster in this meal is the largest lobster among our three orders. The deep fried mantou (buns) are quite small.

Stone Grilled Beef (RM29) The hot tapas list features some substantial meaty items. The Stone Grilled Beef and Spicy Miso Lamb Rack are our favourites. Marinated well, the meat is tender and juicy, delicious to the last bite.

This modern Japanese dining at it's best with one of the best-tasting dishes of the night ~ Avocado Miso Gratin priced at RM 26 only. Looking unassuming but with just one spoon you will be hooked. I was quite reluctant to try this gooey dish but it was surprisingly delicious, well delivered with rich texture filled with seafood of scallop, shrimp, crab stick & nice little Ebiko with mushroom and nicely flavoured with miso. This dish gives you the comforts of like eating your mom's homecooked meal. I will come back for more!
