Overall, if you are craving tendon, this is one place you can visit for a quick and rather affordable meal. Personally, I find the prawn not springy enough and the fish a bit soft, and if compared to another brand at Tanjong Pagar, I feel that they lose out in terms of the taste and flavours.
While keeping to Japan’s quality can be challenging, hope they can look into reducing the greasiness in the bowls. Unless it was meant to be.
The Mixed Tempura Rice Set came with a bowl of rice with Miso Soup and their specially curated Tempura Sauce together with Sesame Salt and Matcha Salt. It was as good as the previous set, and we enjoyed it totally.
Hopefully, Akimitsu would be able to refine their offerings in the long run; there is certainly quite a bit of potential here somehow.
