While the food at TOBY’s Kopi Toast Bakery wasn’t exactly out of this world, the affordable prices as well as the portions offered are very attractive and well worth what you’re paying for. If you’re ever on a budget when making a journey to the west, you know where to visit!
It is a good initiative that the menu includes local meals like this. A good bargain given the hearty portions too.
Qi Xiang Hot Pot at The Chevrons is the same team from Qi Xiang Chicken Pot in Kovan. They are known for its unique beer-infused chicken pots.
The waffle was pretty fluffy with a crisp exterior, and the ice creams were light and not cloying.
It’s a warm, cozy and welcoming cafe, particularly family and kid friendly!
I also liked how the house-made pizza dough was nicely stretched, giving a good bite and holding up the condiments well.
Among all the cakes, D'Lover ($6.90) is a hot favourite. Layered with durian filling, that explains its popularity.

The only downside is the location I guess. It is quite inaccessible although it is good to be away from the hustle city or even neighbourhood areas. You still need to drive in though.
