I've always come away satisfied with the meals I have here. With limited food choices in this mall, I'd say this is the best option for food if you find yourself in this mall though prices may be on the upper end. It's worthwhile to check out this particular Chef's Special of the day if you happen to see it offered or find it on the regular menu (some day). And if you like pizzas, you can watch your favourite (and delicious) pizzas being made in a wood-fired oven right in front of you. If you're not after hot food, their cakes are always a good bet with a cup of coffee.
Staff were good, providing useful advice, and the quality of the food was high. It’s a little bit pricey, and portions are a bit small, but that’s really the only difficulty with recommending Kiku Zakura – except one. Their vegetarian selection nearly all uses dashi sauce, so would be more suitable for pescatarians. That means there wasn’t quite the range I had hoped; however it was still worth the trip.
Happy Ele’s not very expensive, but I don’t think it was good enough to head back any time soon. I suppose it wasn’t actively bad, just not good enough to recommend; you might find something you like.
Overall, we liked Shyet-Li’s, as the food was ok to very good, and the price was pretty low. We’d be happy to head back there soon, though there aren’t a lot of vegetarian options on the menu.
Food Station is a pretty standard food court, but it’s reasonable value for money. You’ll eat here for less than half the price of just about anywhere else in Great Eastern Mall. I’ll go back.
Even though I can overlook the taste that wasn't quite all there that evening, I don't think I can overlook the way they set out to conduct their business....not having fresh pizza slices and hot dogs for their customers in the evening (but let them have whatever's leftover from the day), not bothering to ensure that their till has small change, not hiring enough help, things like that.
Reasons to visit: Excellent value for money meal deals, premium quality ingredients, casual atmosphere providing a perfect shopping pit stop.
Sapore Italian Spanish Restaurant & Bar doesn't have extravagant or beautiful interior design, but they certainly compensate this with the quality of their food.
重点是,食物很好吃!这里绝对是一个可以满足大家的味蕾和肚子的好地方!
Grilled Pork Neck RM48, our favourite dish that night. Tender, juicy cut of Iberico pork lightly marinated with garlic, salt, pepper and rosemary, grilled and served over smooth, finely mashed truffle potato and pork juice.
There’s not a huge range for vegetarians, but I think I would like to go back some time. Overall the experience was good enough I could forgive the weak veggie burger (and my loved ones liked their food), though I would try something else instead. Worth a go if you’re nearby and fancy a burger.
My Personal Opinion I was certainly satisfied with what I tried. I especially enjoyed the Smothered Steak and O'mega Salmon, so I wouldn't dismiss the place for a third visit. ^_~
The Daily Grind fits perfectly to provide another dining destination for the residents around KL.
We loved the food, and there are still a couple of pizzas and breakfast options I would like to give a go to, so we will surely head back here before it moves back out. I wonder though if these guys will look for extra cooks and extend the lease, as it seemed very busy and successful.
Reasons to visit Kenny Hills Bakers Ampang: To try and give a ranking of one pastry or bread over another would require multiple visits. Many numerous visits. I suggest you try this yourself. (Mon, however, says you must try the Yuzu Tart, take away a loaf of crusty sourdough, and don’t miss the maneesh bread from the wood-fired oven.)
Makanan dia pun agak so so. Hype je lebih ! Aku tak jumpa keserasian dengan jiwa. Keselesaan tu tiada !
The Nyonya Assam Fish Bao was inspired by the historical Malacca. We Malaysians love a good crispy and tangy combo! So, are you surprised that this bao is also called the Fillet O’Fish for Malaysians?
My Personal Opinion Overall, I think the pork patty with goreng berempah flavours (even the crumbed, fried pork patty) were the more successful ones as it masks the (sometimes) slightly porky taste of the steamed ones (especially when they're served cold).
Curry Noodles (RM 8.30) The Curry Noodles comes superbly delicious. The broth comes simply thick and creamy and serve together with the generous huge yong tau fu ingredients with it. The portion comes simply generous too where the bowl of curry mee can be shared if you are small eaters.
There are other dishes are also very good, such as Butter Sauce Cheesy Oyster, Nashville Hot Chicken, Classic Mexican Nachos, Spicy Beef Brisket Pasta in Smoky Marinara Sauce and so on can try, maybe everyone will love after eating On the American cuisine Oh! what!
最近喜欢吃素的汉堡 他们家的吃起来好juicy,边吃还边狂喷汁
Overall Rating: 8/10. I never would have thought that I'd stumble upon a place which serves Southern American cuisine, after my not-so-pleasant stint at Acme South in Bangsar (a sister branch of the more popular Acme Bar & Cafe). Hence, I'd definitely recommend BRYCG for being one of the few Southern American (New Orleans to be specific) restaurants in the Klang Valley that does it well.
If you want a cooked breakfast with pork in KL, then Sausage KL is a decent option. You might want to take a taxi rather than drive, as getting your parking ticket validated and paid, then getting out of the car park is a pain!
♥Verdict: If you enjoy homemade sausages with no preservatives, no chemicals, less fillers and more meat, Sausage KL is well worth check out place for you. They also have blood pudding/black pudding, a British delicacy of sausage made from pig’s blood which is not really commonly available in KL.

Unagi Don (RM 35) Have the bowl of don which is served with the roasted eel over a bowl of rice. I love their well roasted eel and it is such a perfect indulgence.
Teriyaki Chicken Burger, 23.80 ringgit. This burger tasted delicious. If you are a fan of “Teriyaki” , then do give this a try. rest assured that every mouth you take has teriyaki sauce in it. I loved it, the slightly spicy, sweetish flavor it provides certainly made the burger as a whole yummy. You would also get a decent chunk of boneless, crunchy grilled chicken + sweet daikon + onions + cheese + cabbage, with some fries on the side. I gobbled it all up, sure was yummy. Loved it.
My Personal Opinion What can I say except....bring your appetite.....they're going to feed you well here!
Spaghetti con Arragosta (RM 43) For those who are a fan of spaghetti, do order this. It is cooked al-dente and the spaghetti with baby lobster, garlic, tomato, chili. The taste is superbly good and I love the light spiciness from the spaghetti itself.
Reasons to visit La Risata Ampang: friendly neighbourhood Italian restaurant; a good number of meat-free options; value for money
In the end, I had to order something else and went with the Crispy Spring Rolls @ RM13.90 (for 6 pcs) wrapped in minced chicken and prawns, served with a sweetish-sourish dip containing pickled vegetables of carrot and jicama. The rolls were freshly fried, came piping hot, were super crispy and had a good ratio of filling...so, no complaints on this.
Reasons to visit Super Saigon Ampang: come for the beef pho, get your caffeine kick with a strong iced coffee, and appreciate it all in a pleasant, cheery setting.
Reasons to visit: a whole range of vegan and vegetarian options right here in Ampang; pet-friendly café; cosy friendly feel – a happy neighbourhood vibe; coffee is superb; my two most-favoured dishes are the Eggs Florentine and the Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake.
This is a great cafe and fast becoming one of my favourites in this part of town (that's closer to home). Their exciting version 4.0 menu is certainly on the right track with these add-on hot dishes to their menu of mostly pastas, gourmet sandwiches and salads. The three dishes that we tried will be great additions to their menu when it's finalised. I certainly hope the salmon fillet and zucchini and corn fritters make it on the menu permanently as I'd love to have them again. After two visits, I'm absolutely certain that there'll be a third.....and a fourth...and a....! Well, I've been here for dinner and after-dinner snacks, it's time I come when the sun is up...for some morning brekkies! ^_~
This charming cafe has a warm (no pun intended) and welcoming vibe. It's a great place for brekkies and coffees. I'm sure you'll find something to your liking from their breakfast menu of big breakfasts, bagels, pancakes, french toast, eggs benedict, florentine or arlington, or even just a classic egg toast. If that's not enough, they also have gourmet sandwiches, healthy salads and pastas for you to choose from. Service is warm (again, no pun intended) and friendly. I appreciated that they were very accommodating too to keep their kitchen open just a while longer for us. I envy Ampang folks as they're so lucky to have this great coffee joint near them (as well as that fantastic steak place just two doors away). Well, I suppose I ain't too far away myself and, as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, I'll be back! ^_~
Roti John Titiwangsa, Dato Keramat is one of the best Roti John in Kuala Lumpur, and in this video, we tried Roti John for our very first time, and it was indeed a scrumptious meal! Roti John is one of the local Malaysian favourite street food, usually for dinner or midnight snack. The fries are topped on the Roti John and a generous amount of sauce is added on top. We're surprised how stuffed we are after eating the entire meal of Roti John!
Reasons to visit JadJan Thai Street Food: a professional kitchen team; support a crew trying to survive difficult times; must order the Chilli & Lime Steamed Seabass and, of course, Mango Sticky Rice; the team is responsive to requests to reduce waste and accommodates guests bringing their own reusable containers for takeaway.
Suzi’s isn’t the sort of place you go out of your way for, but it’s a fair place to stop for a while on your journey. You can even get your car washed next door while you eat, which I suppose might mean we pop back more often.
Reasons to visit Soul Sacrifice Desa Pandan: seriously good coffee; innovative menu packed with flavour and reasonably priced; don’t miss the Duck Hut, Abba and Akmar’s mum’s cheesecake.
Reasons to visit: exceptional, high quality fusion dishes; beautiful coffee and hot chocolate; well-priced menu; cosy local café vibe; and… it’s close to the city centre!
