Somehow I never noticed this until recently, but IPPUDO has a bonito ramen available, featuring a gritty and smoky broth that I rather enjoyed. That little dab of yuzu kosho provided a refreshing kick to ease the grease down too. It was just what I needed after a long day at work, together with some of the cheap booze that they have here.
Food at Ippudo is focused on Japanese cuisine, specifically ramen noodles and izakaya bar snacks. Their award-winning tonkotsu pork bone broth is the star, achieving the perfect balance of texture and taste that appeals to the masses.
Enjoy the Ohanami Sakura Cocktail ($7 per glass), pretty-in-pink sweet plum wine with a cherry blossom color and aroma that looks as good as it tastes.
This cold season, cozy up with IPPUDO’s latest seasonal special, Miso Akamaru Ramen, a popular Winter favorite specially brought over from IPPUDO Japan! Available from 1 October to 31 December 2020, the limited-time special features a decadent surprise of cacao koyu that will warm you right down to your toes.
Overall, I enjoyed the rich curry tonkotsu ramen. Should have taken a picture of my empty bowl as proof haha.
