I do not recommend Bo Dining. This place seems to live off of people who get more joy from sitting in a luxurious, pretentious space than actually eating great food. At Bo Dining, you’re mostly paying for the ambience and the “Instagram fee.” There are other brunch spots in the city that look nice but have much tastier food.
The food at Bo won’t blow you away, but it’s generally of a high standard and not too high a price. The ambience is pleasant and the staff are professional – we even had a party here pre-Covid, so I’m very happy to recommend it.
This is indeed my kind of favorites. The lovely plate of seafood goodness in one plate where we are enjoying the delicious XL White Clams, Octopus Tentacles, Tiger Prawns, Mussels, Tomato Seafood Soup with the Grilled Ciabatta. The dish is just so nice and seafood are superbly fresh and juicy.
Reasons to visit Hanare Japanese Restaurant, Intermark Mall: intimate sushi bar experience, a chef that likes to talk and explain the food and omakase dining, fresh, seasonal ingredients direct from Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo.
Hanare KL's weekend a la carte buffet is priced at RM180++ per adult and RM89++ for children aged between 4 to 12 years old
首先推荐的是他们家的限量版料理! 除了这个限量版料理之外, 所有美食料理都是任吃的~
Being a Michelin awarded restaurant. De.Wan restaurant is must try restaurant. Not only will i try it but i will definitely come back for more food in future, maybe to try out other De.Wan outlet. In terms of price, it is a little expensive but it is all worth it considering the good service, big serving portion, nice environment and tasty food. It is worth every single cent paid.
Reasons to visit De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan: family recipes not often found in restaurants in KL; OTT décor (love it); must order the Nasi Lemak Pandan, Kerabu Mee Hoon Nyonya Bunga Telang and Johor Laksa.
For the coming Chinese New Year celebration, for a change, why not take the family or have a friends gathering to savour Malay cuisine? At De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan, there are CNY Set Menus for group dining, for groups of 8-10 pax at RM1,388 & RM1,688 and a bigger set at RM1,888 for 10-12 pax.
The Cheese sandwich was yummy. I liked it. As its name suggest, there was 3 types of cheese involved – Gouda, Mozzarella and Cheddar. Gooey and dense …yum!
It new second outlet is close to my office (yay!)and offers the same excellent coffee and industrial interior. The lunch offerings are pretty good but today we tried their Scrambled Egg Croissant for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised.
Reasons to visit Bean Brothers at The Linc KL: a lovely bright setting with window walls, indoor and outdoor seating and an abundance of potted plants; great coffee; simple comfort food.
Linguine Seafood Pasta (RM 68) When this arrived, I was shocked at the way it was wrapped in aluminium foil and had the juicy white sauce which was full of seafood taste from the prawns, mussels and octopus. We just couldn't stop having second helpings. It was just seafood heaven! It was also my first time seeing linguine in alumimium foil, which was their new menu. Mum deem this as Char Hor Fun!
When it comes to the food, there are definitely better ways to have both good food with breathtaking views anywhere else. The prices can be intimidating for such quality of food. Stick to lounging and chilling under the stars and moon and pray that the weather is clear. Weather was lovely when I was there – I enjoyed the skyline and until they do something about the food, I will hesitate eating at Roofino.
Reasons to visit: The view is undoubtedly the superstar of the evening! Pizzas and drinks on the terrace, followed by French Onion Soup and the Black Angus Tenderloin on angel hair pasta were all unanimous winners. This is our new favourite happy hour venue!
Serendib undoubtedly offers the most pleasant dining experience compared to the nasi kandars, kopitams and noodle houses it shares the basement with, but that ambience comes at a price. The lunch specials were not a great bargain, and there wasn’t enough variety to make you want to revisit often. If you work in the area, it’s a worthwhile option for a special occasion or staff lunch (where hopefully the boss is footing the bill!). No big complaints about the food, but it’s not noteworthy enough for me to come back.
Chicken Rotti Rolls (RM 18) The Chicken Rotti Rolls are indeed my favourites where they are such as great dish to go with. The Chicken Rotti Rolls comes perfectly good with the awesomely minced chicken meat, potato and vegetables mixed with selected spices enveloped in bread and grilled till perfection.
Reasons to visit Serendib Restaurant & Bar in GTower: authentic Sri Lankan restaurant conveniently located in the city centre; must try the Seafood Kottu and Fish Sothi; do save room for a sweet appam for dessert.
The food menu at The Iron Fairies is pretty yummy… you can choose from homemade burgers (Coli’s beef burger, Chicken for Chloe or Lily’s lamb affair), and some bites & sharing plates such as truffle fries, salted egg fries, Thai chicken wings and spicy popcorn chicken….
Reasons to visit Iron Fairies KL: Truly a one of a kind bar in which no detail or décor is overlooked – be sure to check out the butterfly room, themed cocktails to add whimsy on a night out, enticing promotions.
Provencal Stuffed Squid (RM 39.50) Beautifully prepared, the fresh squid is filled with herbs, chard, breadcrumbs with smoked chili salsa and basil oil. The plate of these is perfectly delicious brings you with the light umami blend in it. I love how the taste is perfectly blend to it.
Pan Seared Scallop RM34.00 served as the best starter (entree) dish in Tanzini featuring – Scallops with Shimeji, Shiitake, Cup Mushroom and Green Bean Puree. Scallops are well seasoned and seared which giving a perfect brownish layer (already delicious while eating it alone), tastes even more flavourful with the various combination of fungus and smooth green bean puree. Personally will recommend this dish for those who interested in having fresh scallops with unique AAA flavours.
All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience with amazing foods and attentive service. Pricing, a little on the upscale side, but definitely worth it for a special occasion. Tanzini is accessible via Maitre D' counter in Lobby B. (GF)
My Biryani House is very highly recommended, therefore, and if you can’t be bothered to head there then do enjoy the delivery option
Tapi rasa beryani dan Naan dia not bad. Sedap lah. Kena dengan selera dan harga pun munasabah !
Staff are pretty good, and the restaurant is comfortable enough. In fact the only problem is the price which is really high for Malay/Malaysian food. It does feel a bit too high to justify regular visits, but if you wanted to do a fancy-ish trip with friends it might suit you.
Their Fish Head Curry was really good. It was the only dish today that met out expectations. The flavours were awesome and the curry was perfect. I would rate their Fish Head Curry at 8/10
“Opened last March, Tifa serves reasonably priced good food in cosy, modest surroundings. Every dish, from the mayonnaise to the sauces, is prepared from scratch by me using market-fresh ingredients.”
Was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable price point, especially given its prime location in the heart of KL. Certainly worth a visit if you’re hankering for some Spanish vibes.
Currently, the restaurant is participating in the "What's The Catch" promotion, whereby sustainable sourced seafood are used to create an Italian seafood sharing family platter. The platter is priced at RM145 nett for 2 persons, and is available for dinner only from now until 30 April 2018.
Reasons to visit: eat with a clear conscience in knowing that the seafood has been sourced sustainably; incredibly good value for money set lunch; Tonno in Salsa Tonnato; MUST ORDER the Oven Baked Seabass ‘Cartoccio’.
The pricing is ok too, with each sandwich being a reasonable RM15 or so. I’ll aim to come back, though my usual constraints will apply!
Reasons to visit Grizzly, The Intermark: warm cosy setting; well-balanced espresso-based coffee; toasties.
If you are looking for an awesome buffet restaurant in the heart of KL, do consider visiting BIFE Charcoal Steakhouse Buffet at The LINC KL. BIFE Charcoal Steakhouse Buffet at The LINC KL is open from 12pm to 10.30 pm daily. For booking, please call them at +603-2300 6488
Lunch buffet : 12pm to 3pm at RM39.90 Dinner buffet : 6pm to 10.30 pm, at RM89.90 per person
Still, I will probably visit this place again.
Reasons to visit Byblos TREC KL: the freshest of ingredients; everything including bread and pastries are made in-house from scratch; an extraordinary number of vegetarian dishes; my personal favourites are the Hummus with Nuts, Shakshouka and Grilled Fish; cheese lovers should be sure to give the Shanklish – Lebanese Roquefort – a try.
Reasons to visit: Feast yourself silly on a range of mezze platters, including traditional dips with breads, fatayers, falafels and anything with lamb. Simply good food, traditionally made, with very reasonable prices. For the adventurous souls try the nayyeh with garlic paste and wash it all down with some Arak. Kesah!
I never really seen Homemade Beef balls served as dimsum , but this is pretty nice and you really should try it
Reasons to visit Crime Cocktail Bar: Cool décor; fantastic array of cocktails; James’ rhetoric; our favourites were the Jungle Bird and the White Lady of Elderidge.
Crime Cocktail Bar is the new speakeasy bar on the block over at TREC KL. And its helm is Soulmaker Mixologist Kelvin Lee, who has won numerous awards in his 7 years being a professional bartender.
Crime's interior is modeled after what you would imagine if you were to be going to an Italian Godfather's favoured speakeasy bar. Posh seats, comfortably exclusive and above all - hidden away from the prying eyes from public. Rest assured, you will have a challenge just trying to locate the entrance to this hidden speakeasy hangout. Our tip - just look for Crave Oysters & Seafood House and ask the friendly staff where Crime is.
Overall, top marks for the pastries and service! The place was also pleasant as it was not too crowded – with plenty of space in between tables to enjoy a comfortable meal.
