I like Rama V and intend to go back to try a bit more of their vegetarian range. Luckily work keeps providing me the opportunity to do that! However, if you’re not a guest or on expenses, it might be a little bit pricey. That said, it’s definitely worth trying.
Rama V Thai Buffet Dinner details: Availability: 13 May – 2 June 2019 Price: RM89.90 per pax (Add RM9.90 for free flow beverage)
One of the girls favourite is this Queen Suriyothai @ RM 24.85 -Gin, Lynchee liquer, yuzu puree, lemon juice, egg white, sugar syrup, basil leaf. Refreshing, intersting, sourish, with hint of sweetness yet fragrant foam egg white.
There will be two Chinese New Year Set Menus available during the festive period, from 15 January until 20 February 2019; the Fortune Set (RM468 for 5-6 pax) and Prosperity Set (RM968 for 8-10 pax). The festive menus feature auspicious ingredients (such as prawns, fish and duck) commonly eaten during CNY, while still showcasing authentic Thai flavours.
Next, we had two of their new soup additions - the Salmon in Clear Tom Yam Soup (RM28.80) and a Hot & Sour Beef Soup (RM28.80).The former came with a rather large chunk of salmon fillet as well as crispy salmon skin in a deliciously tangy soup. The beef soup, which came with tender slices of beef was light and satisfying.
How about enjoying Thai delights for buka puasa this round instead of the usual comfort Malay dishes. For a twist, RamaV offers you with the delicious Thai delights this Ramadan with only RM 89 to sample their delighting signature Thai dishes.

I was very excited recently when invited to Rama V Pre-Launch Party - after their recent makeover showcasing a brand new modern contemporary decor. I was looking forward to dining at this amazingly beautiful and serene like ambience again since my last visit a year ago on 23 Sept 2015 for their MPH Masterclass Kitchen Series Thai Cookbook launch.
