There was a children's party going on while we were there and they even had a pasta making session which pretty much sums up the atmosphere here at Jamie's Italian at VivoCity, a lively yet laid-back place with pretty good food.
Jamie’s Italian is definitely one for friends or family. The dishes here are hearty, generously portioned, and good for sharing. Prices are relatively high considering it’s a casual restaurant, but the fresh ingredients they use make most of their dishes worth the money.
This is great for sharing as it might be a tad heavy if you’re having it all on your own, besides, there are more that you need to save your stomach for!
You can also bring the little ones for some apple hunting – the first to find five apples will win a Somersby picnic mat.
I had a good starting experience with Jamie's Italian when it first opened in Vivocity 3 years back, but somehow meals from the visits after that went down south in terms of taste.
For a festive meal, the food is on the classic and the atmosphere at Jamie Italian’s is lovely too, warm cosy interiors and friendly staff for a festive meal with friends and family (a bonus as you could share the dishes!).
Service was professional and prompt. I liked the ambience of this branch, an open-kitchen concept with woody-meets-brass décor and high ceilings. Will be back to try its artisan pizzas.
We had an enjoyable meal at Jamie's, food and service was up to our expectations of a Celeb chef 's diner. Prices may be a little steep for some but food is hearty portioned, and made with fresh and healthy organic ingredients that don't come cheap.
