The Chicken Mandi Rice was very well-marinated with herbs and spices packed with a smoky flavour. A total hit with us, it was delicious preparation of chicken cooked with mandi powder served over a layer of basmati rice. It is packed with spices flavours and the taste of the perfect blend of spices. Best eaten along with raita for a delicious meal.
As for the main course, we can choose to have the set of rice with chicken or lamb. The rice consist of Mandi, Kabsa, Biryani and Maqluba. They were all really fluffy and the spices are quite well balanced. It's not as filling as having a full bowl of white rice at all. The protein was nicely cooked and marinated adequately especially the lamb which was incredibly tender
Next up, we had the Lamb Mandi and as a lamb-meat lover, this was my favorite dish of all. The lamb meat was so soft, juicy and no gamey smell at all. I believe those who doesn't eat lamb due to the strong smell will be able to eat their Lamb Mandi. Not doubt that this was one of their best seller and popular dish. Oh yes, it was so filling as this dish comes with the spice flavored basmati rice.
I highly recommend you embrace this nomadic journey as you metaphorically trek across South Indian in search of its culinary greatest hits that Nadodi lovingly curates in its signature dining experience.
I really enjoy my dining experience at Nadodi and to me, it is a destination dining for Singaporeans given the close flight proximity. To return again? I say, why not?
Sassorosso 的价位属于中上,其实蛮贵的,汤类价格就从 RM24 起呢。
Reasons to visit Sassorosso KL: quiet spot tucked away in the centre of KL; fantastic pizzas; excellent wine list with a range of affordable to very fine Italian wines; our favourite dish – the handmade ravioli, and you have to go with the crowd and try the parmigiana too.
Reasons to visit: A quick escape to Italy complete with fantastic wines and delicious, simple and fresh food. The homemade, hearty feel to all the dishes will leave you wanting more. The wood-fire pizza is also a must try.
Restoran Nasi Padang Kampung Baru offers one of the best Nasi Padang food in the heart of KL. Best food in KL.
[Halal] We’re back in da House of Patin KL! This time, we tried their Ikan Patin Pais Tempoyak (RM18 seketul). It was so good!
We highly recommend this place for the fresh patin. We wanna come back for the Patin Pais (grilled patin) and Talapia Goreng.
Masakan Padang Asli offers authentic and delicious Nasi Padang dishes in the heart of KL, Kampung Baru. Nasi Padang sedap!
[Halal beef] Who loves wagyu beef? After hearing our friend rave about this place, we checked out the newly opened Wagyu Restaurant on Lorong Yap Kwan Seng.
Some of the cuts we tried here include the Beef Tongue PRIME with salt leeks (RM49), Wagyu kalbi (RM48) and Wagyu loin (rare parts PRIME) (RM78). The beef is grilled over charcoal embers, which has been heated to 450 to 500 degrees celcius. Everything was so good - absolutely tender, melt-in-the-mouth goodness.
Overall, despite the teething troubles, After One was an experience worth repeating. I will definitely try again either in a few months, or at a less busy time, to see if it’s settled in. I might revise the review then.
Food was yummy, yawwwww. I can see why Havelly is pretty highly rated. The briyani was yummy, The rice was moist – just the way I like it, there was plenty of flavor and a generous amount of chicken. Rather than a big chuck on meat stuffed into the rice, the chicken here were chopped and served in small pieces. The dish also came with a side of indian yogurt – Mooru and a gravy. Both were an awesome addition to the dishes, added a difference in texture and taste.
One of the biggest Mamak foot hit was the famous Penang Line Clear Nasi Kandar had migrated down to Kampung Baru at KL. It was a big news to many Line Clear fans from Penang including myself. However I only pay a visit to them after a year plus in operations. This was through a family dispute and hence this branch is born. As what my friend said, they are the operator for Penang outlet for the past 10 years.
At first I did not want to take the nasi lemak, but looking at the lady next to me enjoying her every bite then we decided to try out too. It is good! I took Ayam Masak Merah and Cuttle Fish. All cook to perfection and of course a sunny side up. Sambal is different from others, as you can taste the spices of chili, mild spicy with sweet end for Pak Hassan version, and I did my usual is a mix curry ontop of my Nasi Lemak. Nasi Lemak here is fragrant with pandan and mild santan yet it is dry enough to make it pieces.
Nasib baik la harga agak berpatutan.
Sedap dan harga berpatutan. Boleh je lawan Suraya yang lagi ramai orang sentiasa tu.
Overall, I enjoyed most of the food here especially the lamb chops, angus ribeye, French onion soup, pan seared foie gras as well as their desserts. There are room for improvements on a few dishes as well as their food presentation.
Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa @ Kampung Baru, KL
Harga OK lah.. ikut apa yang di order. Cuma aku tak boleh berlama kalau tempat orang ramai ramai sangat ni. Lemas.
Toastie, 16 ringgit. Boy, this was delicious! If you are a sandwich and pesto fan – this dish is worth a try. Toastie is a combination of pesto + cheese + spinach + sunny side egg + mushroom + bread with a side of salad. First, there is a slice of toasted bread at the bottom with a generous amount of basil pesto spread on it. Above the pesto spread are 2 sunny side up eggs with a generous amount of sauteed mushrooms + cheddar cheese. Oooo man, sooooo yummy! A mix of crunciness from the bread, gooeyness from the egg and decadent cheezy mushrooms – simply da bomb. Loveee it.
Cafe Black Ink No.6 quietly surfaces at Off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng Kuala Lumpur last month, humbly serving a short selection of brunch items and rice bowls from their one page menu. Nothing big hoo-ha for the decorations or extraordinary fancy food to create attention on social media but, this is the part we love most.
