Overall, the food at McQuek’s Sate Celup Bandar Hilir Melaka is fresh and good. The service is good, the people here works really fast. As the place is spacious, it is not that warm and it feels cooling too due to the fans. Price wise reflects to the current economy and inflation, nothing to complaint.

Dip the ingredient into the Satay Sauce to cook it. Once it is cook, you can enjoy the food !! The Satay Sauce taste good while for the ingredient, they are just normal, but it is really nice to mix the ingredient together with Satay Sauce. For me, this is a satisfying meal

That week when we were there, the sticks marked in Red are priced at RM1.00. The Green ones are priced at RM1.50 and the Blue ones are priced at RM2.50 each stick. There are some ingredients which were stuck with 2 sticks. The tiger prawns had 2 blue sticks stuck on it, so each tiger prawn costs RM5.00. So, if you do not want to break your wallet, remember to always count the number of sticks you and your family / friends took.

Overall, I wouldn’t say McQuek’s satay celup is fantastic but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t good. The satay sauce here is adequately thick with just the right balance of sweet and spicy. It’s a crowd-pleaser alright. As for the ingredients, the real meat and seafood skewers are satisfyingly fresh. The processed food items on the other hand taste exactly as expected so no surprise or disappointment there. Some of the more memorable items we had were the cockles (I had dozens of it alone), bacon and prawns.
