Its a nice place and once again Thank You the owner for being so nice allowing us to chip in after his operating hours. I really favor nyonya food therefore my choice of selection is quite particular so may not be the best Nyonya food that I have tried but definitely is one of the famous in Malacca that you can tried some local taste with reasonable price. Rating: 6.8 /10

Finally here comes our long-awaited main dish, The Sambal Udang Petai RM19.00 featuring stir-fry prawn and bitter bean in hot sauce. The overall dish tastes rather spicy, has an irresistible sweet and sour flavor, a perfect dish that will make you enjoy another bowl of rice in no time! 😉

The seafood was fresh with the exception of the prawns which I found a bit too rubbery. Surprise surprise food was not very hot. And we found tauchu in the Pongteh and Sambal Udang dishes. Not that we minded, it was a reminder we were in Baba land.

There were mixed reviews on Restoran Ole Sayang and our personal experience was not very ideal. Rude service was rendered as we were told off to sit at one of the corner as there was only 2 pax of us, even though we had sat in another table for a while. The old lady service crew ordering service is impatient and kind of brush off everything when we asked if there is chendol, she rudely repair no. After which she mumbled and she walked away.

This local restaurant actually serves wonderfully delicious food but has often been disparaged due to their bad service. This is primarily due to the fact that the place is constantly packed to the brim with people.

No visit to Meleka is ever complete without attempting their Peranakan fare. The land of it, infact, the Melakians swear. Ole Sayang is one of those places that is so popular 1. You get bad service and its normal. 2. Finding the table and getting the menu is part of self service. 3. Lunch does extend beyond their official 1130am-230pm lunch hour. 4. Squeeze like you are the skinniest soul there and talk like you own the place to get any waitress' attention. 5. Reserve, reserve, reserve.

All in all, although service was rather unresponsive - which I don't blame them for, because of the insanely large crowds - Ole Sayang gave us a pretty good experience during our hour-stay. There are several Nyonya restaurants along the street, hence if you can't locate this particular restaurant, try looking out for this traditional Peranakan deco:

Overall, I believe this Nyonya Restaurant is a bit over rated. You may try this restaurant if you are bored with Restoran Nyonya Makko.
