Herbal Bak Kut Teh in Pandan Gardens. Do you prefer the soup kind of Bak Kut Teh or the Dry Version?
Quite a good steak for a neighbourhood cafe. Good beefy flavour, juicy and quite tender but with bite. Done exactly to medium. Really nice.
Tong Sheng Bak Kut Teh is a welcoming addition in the West with its JB-style herbal bak kut teh. I don't mind going back again for the bak kut teh on a rainy and cold day.
A lot of folks on the island are probably familiar with Aston's. Some might even be familiar with Collin's. Here's another one to throw in there: Bowen's, just across the way from the original location of PGFN (413 Pandan Garden #01-119, 9234-7819).
I liked their chicken better, especially since it was cheaper too.
All in all, food was relatively reasonable price and portion was welcoming.
They are making restaurant-quality food more affordable, and accessible!
The KEK in Pandan Gardens is started and managed by the third generation after working on the menu for almost 2 years. The kitchen is helmed by Chef Wayne and supported by Paul and Geraldine, manning the front-of-house services.
One of the latest creation at KEK Seafood is their Oriental Burger, giving the western fare an Asian twist.
