As for the Pork Bone Soup Ramen; the restaurant offers (I think) 18 variants, the Pork Bone Soup base are all the same and definitely a good one, Ramen is good but that's all; the Braised Pork belly and sliced Pork weren't too special but I did like the Pork wanton!
Take a step back to imperial China and marvel at its opulence and majesty. Just like a page out of a history book, Paradise Dynasty captures the finer points of bygone eras in contemporary styles which boast a design concept with China dynasty and history influences. The dark wood walls with yellow wall-panelled lights provide mystique and cosiness.
Paradise Dynasty is a fool-proof Chinese restaurant for various occasions, be it Birthday Celebration, parents' day celebration or just a simple casual Sunday luncheon. I have talked about this place a couple of times on my blog, but I see myself coming back to them for celebrations because there is just so many food on the menu that I have yet gotten the chance to try out!
It was a yummy lunch for us. The foods are delicious, friendly service and lovely environment. Second visit? Definitely for their Yellow Wine Xiao Long Bao and La Mian in Hot & Sour Soup.
At Paradise Dynasty (Paradigm Mall), the oriental ambiance is complement and augmented by the large white Buddha seated right in the middle. Very pretty.
拉面 La Mian with Pork Dumpling RM16.80 The La Mian is really good stuff; the texture is smooth and springy. Really can fight with those Japanese ramen. While the noodles are good, the sauce doesn’t taste good for my liking. I think the noodles are tossed with some chili oil. Taste wise, it’s both spicy and sour. The pork dumplings are good too as the meat is juicy and flavorful.
Overall Rating: 6.5/10 for the food and environment. It was an enjoyable experience for a shot of the 8 unique flavors of xiao long pau, though I have to admit that for the price I paid for, I don't find it particularly value for money. I was not utterly impressed as well and found it a tad overrated actually. Good for first timers but I doubt I will return for a seconds.
We had some pastries for dessert, the first which was the Radish Pastry. It had a certain "popiah" flavour to it, but in a more refined tastier way. As for the Soufflé Egg White Balls stuffed with Red Bean and Banana, I felt they made it really soft and fluffy with lots of banana flavour to it. The whole this was actually made with egg white, to my surprise. Good stuff here.
One of the best selling dessert in the restaurant, which is made from mashed pumpkin and deep fried it until golden brown in colour, and lastly sprinkle some sugar powder on the top. The natural orange colour from the pumpkin makes the pastry enhance the presentation and makes it looks more attractive.
