With the surge in local tourism after lock-downs arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, local towns have been spruced themselves up to attract the tourists. Some, colorful murals have popped up at the KKB, at the older part of town still looking colonial with it's few streets of colonial shop-houses.
Nice music, classic environment and good service. Food is okay, just came for some light food.

If you are around KKB, the kaya puffs still worth a try. Do call for booking first as I know the kaya puffs will sold out pretty fast especially on weekends. I know that they have durian cake and cupcakes as well but those need at least 3 days advance booking.
Then I asked the local on where to have good food, and he suggested that we could check out the 'chicken chop' at Ilmio Cafe, which is located opposite the road from Teng Wun Bakery & Confectionery. When we walked it, we were amazed by the simple yet retro decoration with some old albums on the walls, typewriters on the floor and many other items on the ceiling that we can hardly find in the city!
