I would say price is a bit steep for locals but reasonable though given the freshness and tastiness of the ingredients used and presented.
Overall, a nice spot for coffee and dessert. They also serve brunch, rice bowls, noodles and other main food items. Do prepare to wait as people were constantly trickling in when we were there.
Situated near to the coast, Sungai Rengit is a popular seafood haven for the locals and Singaporean. During our trip to Desaru, we took a 30 minutes' drive from Desaru Coast to Sungai Rengit to try it for ourselves. Among all the restaurants, we decided to visit Super Lobster because of its high review and we were not surprised to find many Singaporean there.
Licin kami dengan 'belaan' kami makan 😂 Mestilah kena habiskan, bukan murah pun semua menu di atas tu. Kalau tak mampu habis pun mesti kami kasi tapau bawak balik, jangan membazir. Total damage for the night - RM 248.15 termasuk minuman dan nasi putih. The price was okay with this quality of food, fresh for sure. Will come again, tunggu suami datang melawat isteri lagi 💁
Entrance Fee to the ostrich farm has been revised since 2018 and it is RM20 (Adult) and RM15 (Child). As you enter the farm, there will be a guide to bring you to see the young chicks and other ostrich of different ages, how they are breed, fed and sharing of interesting fun facts of the ostrich.
Never regretted coming here, for their seafood are fresh and tasty.
Super Lobster Restaurant 龍皇海鮮樓 in Sg Rengit is worth a try for their live lobster and crab dishes.
DL and CL had a ride on an ostrich named Lulu. It cost RM20 per ride and came with a photo and certificate that says ‘So-and-so has successfully ridden on the world’s fastest bird’. Cost aside, only children weighing 45kg and below get to ride the bird. And it was only from one side of the enclosure to the other, so nothing much to shout about. Both of them enjoyed the ride so it was still worth it. Lulu couldn’t stand still when it was DL’s turn and ended up giving him a free ride of a few rounds within the enclosure.
Visitors can have the opportunity to get close and personal with the ostriches, interacts with them either with selfie, wefie or even a ride on them (for those andrenaline junkie) at a minimal charge. The admission fees to the farm are is at the rate of MYR12 and MYR 8 for adult and children respectively.
It is educational yet a bit boring as not so much things can do except listening to the explanations from owner and photoshooting. I hope there are more activities added in to make the tour more interesting.
