On the other hand, Mayfair Burger is equally promising with its juicy, thick Australian patty that goes really well with the pickled toppings. Most importantly- the meaty patty isn’t too dry at all. Indeed, simplicity at its best!

A lot of people talk about The Laughing Fish by Harry Ramsden and in particular the Fish and Chips. So we had to try it of course. We chose the Cod for the fish and it was fresh and crisp.
Avocado Toastie for me - grilled sourdough with smashed avocado, tomato and feta crumbs. I've tried avocado toast in many cafes due to my diet and I think the price is somewhat reasonable (it's Genting after all).
My personal favourite catch there is the light and flaky Cod (regular RM40, large RM48 & legendary RM58). Served piping hot, the slab of imported Atlantic cod comes coated in airy-light, crisp batter with a pile of thick-cut, double-cooked chips.

The highlight of the day was of course the Lamb Sausage Calzone RM58. Folded in half, it was huge, about the length of my arm. The pizza base was spotted with charred patches, and delivered a firm bite. Tore the calzone apart and out spilled a mess of chopped lamb sausages, eggplants, melted mozzarella and oregano.
SPICY ROOIBOS The association of this South Africa rooibos combined with orange, ginger, almond and cinnamon creates an extraordinary mouthfeel and flavourful moment. It’s palatably engaging with its different gustatory gradation whereby your taste bud would be amazingly tickled by its bright notes infused with some hints of spice too. On top of that, its presentation is pretty alluring especially when served with whole cinnamon stick for that healthier mocktail recipe compared to any of the virgin mojito, hehe.

THE OLIVE’s VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL 4- COURSE MENU
The fourth dish, a main course, was the Lamb Loin, consisting of capsicum pesto, aubergine, compressed cucumber, rosemary burnt butter and onion juice. The meat was cooked perfectly pink, with a refreshingly pungent flavour emanating from the capsicum pesto. The rosemary burnt butter complemented the lamb well, with the onion juice adding a subtle sweetness to the dish.
Tasting is believing – and the Wagyu did not disappoint. Sliced into beautiful cuts and lightly torched, each bite was the perfect epitome of melt in the mouth texture, the beef’s juices spreading out over the tongue. Its buttery smooth disposition meant there was little chewing involved, and despite the high fat content, was not cloying. Even without seasoning, the beef had a savoury, pure meaty flavour that was excellent on its own.
