I was struggling to finish the satay and so was my Auntie. What a disappointing experience. I don't know what happened to Sate Kajang Hj Samuri@Damansara Uptown to serve such lackluster satay. I wonder if other patrons have the same experience or I was just unlucky that day. This experience will put me off satay for a while.
We ate satay for lunch at Restaurant Satay Kajang Hj. Samuri At Uptown Damansara. It was an awesome lunch. The satay was awesome. I am awesome. I am satay. The Food OMG THE SATAY...
On the other hand, their Chicken Sate's were nice, though not the best that I have eaten and I am very sure that many would be able to vouch for this. I think it is the brand name that sells itself now more than the quality of the Sate's. The Sate's have definitely shrunk in size over the years but the taste has been consistent. I would rate their Chicken Sate's at 8/10
Verdict: Look no further than Sate Kajang Hj Samuri in Damansara Uptown to satisfy your cravings for delicious satay in PJ. There are many choices from chicken, beef, venison, rabbit and mutton. Remember to order Nasi Impit or ketupat to go with your satay. Their peanut sauce dipping sauce with sambal is really good that you’ll ask for extra!
Food Rating 7/10, good ahh, worth a try~-Stamped-
No wonder satay is well known all over the world, it has truly made an impression not only in the hearts of the locals but of tourists and foreigners alike. At RM0.60/USD0.20 a stick, is it any wonder why this is a favourite of many? But of course, there's still bad satay out there if one is not careful. Rest assured though, you'll find good ones here at Sate Kajang Hj Samuri.
After sampling 5 different types of meat, my favorite is still chicken and beef. The rabbit meat tends to be a little dry due to the lack of fats (see rabbit starvation for more info). Mutton and deer meat were just average, in my opinion.
