Shah Alam is one of the cities near Kuala Lumpur where you can find lots of authentic Malay food. Restoran Azira is definitely one of the popular spots where locals visit regularly for their daily meals. They serve a vast variety of authentic local Malay food including the famous Laksa Johor, Nasi Ayam, and Nasi Campur. To top it all of are over 50 different types of kuih for dessert. We definitely had an awesome feast!
An excellent rm$8 concoction, definitely worth sampling.
Steamy hot coconut rice is a must in Nasi Lemak and the lamb satay was excellent.
Very popular for the malay community here in Malaysia, Singapore, and parts of Indonesia.
Both Azira and Hartinie seems always have plenty of loyal customers daily at any time of the day, despite both restaurants well hidden in residential areas of Seksyen 16 Shah Alam.
A very different experience this time savoring the Nasi Kerabu with bare hands.
A very interesting Laksa variant from Johor.
Overall, an eye opener to an interesting local cuisine from the east coast.
