Their grilled fishes were quite nicely done and there's a kaisen chahan that was unexpectedly peppery. The latter wasn't a bad thing.
For the quality, SENS is a pretty good and affordable casual Japanese restaurant in town, and I will say a much preferred option over the other Japanese chain restaurants in Singapore. For now at least, it remains a relatively hidden gem in this corner of Singapore.
I will be back for the Miyazaki Wagyu Tataki for sure. Perhaps I will try out the dishes whipped by the chef from the ingredients I chose from TASTE for my next visit.
Overall food at SENS is above average. I would definitely go back for the miyazaki wagyu tataki, beef kaku ni, kurobuta rosu katsu, sashimi and sushi.
SENS might not be the most fancy of places, nor have any Instagram-drooling food, but is winsome in its own way. Straightforward, unpretentious with a wide variety of crowd-pleasing dishes. Good if you're looking for a pit stop in between errands, lunchtime getaway, or quiet dinner.
