So much of positive reviews on the internet about Xiao Di Fried Prawn Noodle that claims this is one of the Best Fried Hokkien Mee in Singapore motivates me to try this. Since we will be nearby Serangoon area, we went ahead to try out this dish cooked by the 2nd Generation Hawker.
I love that chilli taste but as a whole, we still find that the main subject and focus of the dish should be on the noodles not on chilli.
Overall, it was a great pleasure to see the journey of this young couple from the beginning till now.
Xiao Di Fried Prawn Noodles is indeed one of the gems of Singapore’s hawker scene and it is one that has won our loyalty over the years with its consistency.
Though there were not too many customers in the coffee shop at that time, the waiting time was still long as the Fried Hokkien Mee actually takes time to cook in batches.
This is quite good.
Really good to see a next gen hawker doing a good job with mee pok tar.
For an above average fishball noodles, yes. The ‘herh keow‘ aside, I do enjoy the noodles and fishballs as well.
Good Hokkien Mee is hard to come by and suffice to say, Xiao Di Fried Prawn Noodle lives up to my expectations.
Hokkien mee should be moist and wet like this! This taste kind of similar to Tian Tian Lai Fried Hokkien Mee.
