Minimalist design but spacious. Find your favourite spot, and get ready for coffee, order at the counter. Currently, Kalico food menu offers selection like Nasi Lemak with Daging Rendang, Nasi Lemak with Kapitan, Big Breakfast, French Toast, Shashouka, Chicken Salad, Smoked Salmon Salad, Chicken Avocado Salad, Egg Kewpie Sandwich. They would probably expand the menu, in near future.

Occupying a bungalow lot, Kalico is the newest cafe on this side of Lake Titiwangsa. Love the Fudgy Brownie here. Meals are also served here.

Compared to some cafes, the desserts are reasonably priced. Among the trio of desserts we ordered, the Fudgy Brownie (RM9) was the most outstanding. It was perfectly moist, dense and slightly gooey – exactly as the name implies. We loved that it was served slightly warm. Compliments to the baker!

Diners get options of Soong Kee’s Beef Balls Noodles (RM8.90) served dry or soup as well as option of their original Hakka noodles or thin meehoon. We tried the four combinations and found ourselves enjoying the dry version with thin meehoon as our top favorite followed by the Hakka dry version.

♥Verdict: Definitely a well worth checking out place for beef noodles lovers! Beef noodles (both Hakka noodles and Meehoon), Five Spice Tendon, Wonton Noodles and Steamed Chicken are a few dishes that I personally highly recommend. Service was warm and prices are fair. Now Soong Kee is reopened after being away for 47 days since 18 March for delivery/take away (self pick up). Refer HERE on how to place order.

Lunch 1: Dong Gui Fish Chop at Mama Kim, Jalan Pahang at MYR 15++ (6% Service Charge and 6% SST = MYR 16.80 nett). My friend gave me her portion of salad. I like that they include steamed carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes in this dish but the vegetables could be steamed longer to be softer. They are too hard for my weak teeth.
