Reasons to visit Nyght at Superfine: a diverse menu that fits well together; plenty of both plant-based and meat-loving items; must try the Unthinkable Unagi, Roasted Cauliflower, Pesto Rice Bowl, their house-brewed Kombucha and Tepache.
And of course, a must to have would definitely be the Medium Rare Sliced Beef, Beef Balls and Beef Tendon. The delicious portion of meat which is beautifully sliced and served together with the silky and velvety pho. Amazingly good!
Looking forward perhaps at its other outlets to try the Bun Cha (grilled pork noodles) which both looks and sounds interesting!
Overall the food is quite alright although the service can be improved. Its a bit difficult to get the staff attention so the faster way is to order and pay at the counter yourself.
The Banana Loaf is the most affordable item on the menu at RM 10, it also happened to be my all time favorite besides carrot cake, a slice of banana bread. Yumm! Here, youโd get a large slice of it. The taste and flavor of banana was evident as well as some cinnamon and bit of walnuts. Just like the tart, this too pleasantly sweet. I enjoyed this dish too. Perhaps the next time I give this ago, Iโd request them to heat it up a bit before serving, simply because I generally like it a little soft and denser. Other than that, its all good.
Overall, we were really pleased with BBBโs donuts. BBB is probably our go-to for now on if we want to belanja friends who enjoy donuts and not-so-sweet treats.
A bit late to the party but made a point to drop by Muse by Gest last week as I heard many good things. Opened in Nov last year, Muse is helmed by chef Chin Jin Fah who owns well-known Chinese resto Extra Super Tanker. Muse was set up as a test kitchen of sorts in Seventeen Mallโs cloud kitchen Cookhouse.
Hometown Fried Ban Mian, 10.90 ringgit Whenever you eat Fried Kuay Teow, there slightly burned/ charred taste, that makes it even more appealing when executed correctly, right?? Yea, that same appealing taste is evident here. Then, imagine them fried noodles having achieved an equilibrium between dry and wetness, add egg and minced pork meat. Yup, I was salivating all through the meal. It really was delicious.
The new "Hometown Ban Mian" at Seventeen Mall offers a variety of interesting choices of Pan Mee; 10 types of soup Pan Mee and 4 types of fried Pan Mee as well as variety of Soups as well.

Daging steak dia pun lembut. Masak secukup rasa. Makanan yang saya order fish & chips pun macam tak larat habis. Dan yang penting apabila saya potong fish & chips dia tidak pecah berderai. Ada setengah kedai ikan dia pecah jadi susah nak makan.
Chicken Wrap Set Lunch at MYR 12 nett. Tastes decent.
Was not disappointed with Food Foundry and certainly eager to check-out its sister operation "Butter + Beans at 17" as well as "Feeka Coffee" by Asian Age Group, the earlier in Happy Mansion as well and later in KL.
Seabass - MYR 26+ (6% GST = MYR 27.56 nett) at Food Foundry, Happy Mansion, PJ. The portion is just right for me.
Overall, nice place to hang out makan dan borak borak. Tapi jangan kuat sangat, nanti orang pandang !
My eyes lit up the moment I had a spoonful. The chicken is so tender that its meatiness didnโt get to me, a fussy eater. I usually donโt like meaty chicken because the marinate doesnโt seep into the inner part of the meat, so it comes off bland and dry. Not this one. The char siew was the-right-amount charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and it freaking melts in the mouth! What is this magic?! Even the char siew from Village Roast Duck (relatively pricier restaurant) is hard and unenjoyable... I do love their duck meat and crispy pork though. The char siew chunks were thicker than my liking, but because it was so soft and I must say this again, melts in the mouth, I didnโt mind the thickness at all. Aside from the sweet glaze it was marinated with, the uncle will finish off the presentation with more sweet sauce poured onto the char siew. Itโs not too sweet, but sweet enough that when mixed with the flavourful rice, it becomes addictive.
Overall, for me; this is a WanTon Mee stall which is a possible re-visit in the future.
Broth is not too coconuty nor oily and a small plate of extra sambal is provided. Great stuff, although ๆป้ธก Chicken would have been perfect (Chicken floss was the replacement)!
What do We Like about Grub by Ahong & Friend? -Reasonably priced no frills steakhouse -Tasty steak and unique Yorkshire pudding
No better way to say I love you, than wagyu. We enjoyed our Wagyu NY Strip MB01 and Angus flanksteak from Grub by Ahong & Friends.
Donโt be fooled by its shop appearance and weird name, they actually serve one of the best steak in town at an affordable price. We are lucky to get a buy 1...

Note - limited seat indoors (7 tables) and outdoors (3 tables + 4 counter seats) - more a coffee place with limited cakes & pastries - came on Sun, 2.30pm and got an outdoor table but later moved to indoor table - nice place to chill on a hot Sunday afternoon

Pesto Pasta with Onsen egg lunch set at MYR 15.90 nett
I only had eyes, however, for the Cheezy Meltdown (RM19). The sandwich was all I had hoped for โ cheesy goodness with a good balance of textures. The cheese tasted a lot like the KFC cheese sauce, and got a little overwhelming after a while. Even one slice was very filling. If youโre a small eater, I suggest getting this to share.
What do We Like about Xiao by Crustz, SS 2? -The aesthetically designed interior with live plant and wooden furniture -The uniquely crafted pastries and cakes
Miso, 17 ringgit This was yummmmmm ๐ Having Miso was like having a Magnum ice cream. There is the usual Paddle Pop, Cornetto and then โฆ there is Magnum. Yea, this was like having a Magnum.
So there you go, finally I fixed my mind on La Vie En Rose (MYR 17) despite I really wish to have another morsel along, but then worried canโt finish it as the tummy had just been carbo-loaded 5 minutes ago. A dainty rhapsody composed on the notes of lychee, raspberry rose chantilly, pastry cream, raspberry jam and sable breton. Indeed very catchy and boldly alluring especially with that red petal crowning on top and pate a choux dough filled up with velvet custard.
The Nasi Lemak Pork Rendang attracts me when I looked at the menu. I am loving how the fragrant nasi lemak is done with the fragrant blend of coconut rice together with the generous portion of pork rendang together with the cucumbers, anchovies, kangkung and half an egg.
No question that definitely like this hidden bar, with so much booze to choose from and if other food items in the menu are as good as tonight's mutton varuval, then good food as well.
Of course there are some that I really enjoyed- all Tea Garden, LC 1 (RM 32) and Kopi Ice (RM 35) were all super easy to drink. Iโve always dislike eggwhite in cocktail but I do not dislike this, probably because of the floral hints from lavender. Despite looking ordinary, I am putting LC1 and Kopi ice as a strong contender for one of the tastiest cocktail for the night.

I went for the grilled pork skewers (three pieces โ RM10) and spicy sausage. Both were really tasty and great with rice. The sausage had a strong flavour of lemongrass and sported a chewy casing that contrasted nicely with the mushiness of the mashed meat on the inside. Pork skewers were grilled and basted to sweet perfection, smoky, tender and juicy. Meat lovers will really enjoy this โ I certainly did ๐
Fried Basil Leave with Pork (RM 10), Pork Leg with Rice (RM 10), as well as Noodle in Thickened Soup (RM 7) not only looks terrific but decently portioned as well. Add on the BBQ stuff. Grilled Pork Neck (RM 4) was delicious tender and juicy and best to go with some beer.
Tonight's 5-course wine dรฉgustation menu is priced at RM330.00++ per person. Considering Soleil's refined ambience and impeccable table service, the price is very affordable to people who appreciate fine wines. In fact, Soleil aims to make quality wines more accessible to the average customer.
Every year my best friends and I will select one good restaurant to celebrate our Christmas gift exchange, therefore this year we have decided to choose this...
Considering Soleil's refined ambience and impeccable table service, the price is very affordable to people who appreciate fine wines.
The Puโer Soufflรฉ Pancake (RM18) here is a delight - light, fluffy and comparable to the ones we had in Neighbourโs Coffee Bar.
The Puโer Soufflรฉ Pancake (RM18) here is a delight โ light, fluffy and comparable to the ones we had in Neighbourโs. The subtle puโer taste of the ice-cream complements the vanilla syrup, while the crunchy granola bits add texture to the airy soufflรฉ.
We had Baked Eggs with Chorizo (RM26), and this was clearly a crowd favourite as every other table seemed to order this too. The eggs had a nice consistency, spread over a bed of minced beef/chorizo with a marinara base, it reminded me of lasagna without the filling pasta sheets. It was an excellent choice for us girls who didnโt want something too heavy as we used the toasts to scoop up the beefy goodness.
The noodle was okay but the tom yum flavor was rather mild โ as in, you can hardly taste it. If I were to close my eyes and taste it, tom yum mee hoon would not be the first thing Iโd say to describe it. That being said, as a basic dish of noodles, it was pretty nice, worth the RM 3.50, I suppose.

For folks in PJ, Kwong Wah Ais Kacang at Happy Mansion serves up a good version of cendol that hits the spot squarely. A bowl will set you back RM 5.50, and thereโs often a queue on hot weekend afternoon. But if you love cendol the way I do, this should satisfy.
Verdict: Decent pastries at reasonable prices. Sometimes, saving a bit of moolah is a good thing.
Banana Croissant (RM7.80) Comment: First time trying banana croissant and immediately fell in love with it! Ridiculously delicious with that perfect balance of sweetness that came from the banana and those toppings gave an extra crunchiness to it, made this croissant really addictive.
Grilled dory fish RM 23.90: grilled dory fish served with spicy wedges, broccoli, carrot, garlic aioli and mixed green A proper fish fillet and none of that frozen crap. It's grilled and seasoned lightly so you can still taste the freshness of the fish. I found that there was a little bit too much going on in the plate but bang for your bucks?
At rm$6 for a bowl of soup hor fun with generous slices or not too bad charsiew, nothing to complain, its a likable breakfast choice.
estoran Choon Yien is quite famous among locals for its lunch time offerings of above average ๅ็ง Charsiew, ็ง่ Roasted Pork, and ่็ฎ้ธก Crispy skin Chickens;
Verdict: Decent chicken rice but be prepared to wait during lunch hour.
