The Pu’er Soufflé Pancake (RM18) here is a delight - light, fluffy and comparable to the ones we had in Neighbour’s Coffee Bar.

The Pu’er Soufflé Pancake (RM18) here is a delight – light, fluffy and comparable to the ones we had in Neighbour’s. The subtle pu’er taste of the ice-cream complements the vanilla syrup, while the crunchy granola bits add texture to the airy soufflé.

We had Baked Eggs with Chorizo (RM26), and this was clearly a crowd favourite as every other table seemed to order this too. The eggs had a nice consistency, spread over a bed of minced beef/chorizo with a marinara base, it reminded me of lasagna without the filling pasta sheets. It was an excellent choice for us girls who didn’t want something too heavy as we used the toasts to scoop up the beefy goodness.

However, I must give credit that their soufflé is great. We ordered the Vanilla Soufflé Pancake since sis is not into pu'er ice cream. The overall combination of the soufflé plus ice cream, syrup, berries, nama cream & vanilla bean gelato were nice. Love it. Their fuwa fuwa pancake is the highlight since it was airy and very fluffy. Fuwa fuwa in Japanese is direct translated to 'fluffy fluffy' and was quite the trend during the previous CMCO when people were cooking from home, making their dolgano coffee & fluffy Japanase pancake. Did you try making your own?

First of all, the souffle pancakes are soooo fluffy and airy. I usually don't fancy this kind of texture, but the combination of the various ingredients makes it work. I absolutely love the pu'er gelato (as usual since I'm the biggest fan of tea-flavoured gelato), and I appreciate the crunchiness from the tea gelato.

Below: Strawberry lemon cake, earl grey grapefruit cake, taro cake and avocado lime tart – the cream on the cakes is light and the cake texture is light and fluffy, thus the cakes are not cloy and overly sweet. We enjoyed the cakes thoroughly but found the lime tart lacking in flavor.

The words usually synonymous with soufflé pancakes are airy, bouncy and fluffy … and the ones here certainly embodied that. It was a nice aesthetically pleasing ‘blob’ on a plate, lol. The pancake comes with Pu’er gelato, which I was told is tea flavored and muesli crumble + vanilla syrup. The combination was lovely. I like tea flavored ice cream and gelato and so, it was no surprise that I enjoyed this one. It was thick, milky and not to sweet.

Baked eggs with Chorizo at MYR 26+ (MYR 28.60 nett). My friend loves this dish as it is very flavourful. I like the fact that it has a lot of capsicums on it. I think I will be too full if I finish eating this dish.

I ordered this chicken and waffle from the brunch menu at MYR 22+ (10% service charge = MYR 24.20 nett). So much for me wanting to stay away from deep fried food. The next best thing to do is I removed the crispy coatings as much as I could to eat the chicken.
