My Personal Opinion Since this is such an old name specialising in Ipoh sar hor fun, perhaps the standard isn't as good as they were back then. Nothing from the hor fun to the soup base to the prawn wontons to the poached chicken I cared for really. The environment of an old and dated shop with a slightly dark and not-so-clean interior didn't help it one bit.

Soo Kee Gei Si Hor Fun 蘇記怡保雞絲河粉 at Seapark, Petaling Jaya earns a good reputation for their Ipoh Chicken Koay Teow Soup, but we personally also enjoy their poached chicken, beautifully dressed in oyster sauce.

If you are asking me are they the best, I have no idea. I can say one of the best steam chicken that I have come accross, surely will come back again as its pretty near my office. Food Rating 7/10 quite good ah . . -stamped-

A meal for two here can easily come to RM20/USD7 and above; whereas all of the above plus two drinks came to RM23/USD8 for us. Despite appearing as just another hawker stall in the midst of an older residential neighbourhood of Petaling Jaya’s, Soo Kee conveniently marked up prices to justify for the legacy, the effort in bringing Ipoh style kuey teow to your table, and fresh, succulent prawns instead of conventional minced pork and chopped shrimps filling.

As it turned out, we really had too much food that morning. The kueh teow soup was actually very good and true to the traditional recipe. Some prawns, shredded chicken meat, spring onion, and a dash of chili oil that amplify the flavor. I particularly like the steamed chicken too, almost completely boneless (like Fatty Loh‘s style), with the meat very smooth and succulent. The wantan was pretty good too, if not a little bit on the saltier side for my taste.
