Singapore’s central business district isn’t a place I would usually visit on a weekday since my workplace isn’t in the area but when a frien...
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Very nice roasted sweet potato. Sweet and very tender. I thought it worked very well with the sour cream and dill with salt.
The Gaig’s traditional cannelloni came with a great creamy and truffly sauce, although a bit heavy. The jamon croquettes was competent. The suckling pig tapas had really crispy skin, but was quite porky. Really quite quality tapas.
I don't fancy the meat, but I was fine with it being in the paella because the porcini balanced it out.
I am definitely looking forward to returning.
Lovely meal at Lerouy and i would come back in a heartbeat. Certainly one of the best meals we've had in 2020.
Yes, the food was good, especially his signature salt baked cabbage on the bottom left. There was a lot going on in there, including not just the varying tastes of the ancholade, lardo, and lime, but also the contrasting textures. I was happy to eat it along with some of his piping hot bread and flavored butters, not to mention that pâté en croûte to start.
Restaurant Lerouy is a counter-seat only restaurant in Stanley Street serving modern French Cuisine.
Though prices at Common Man Stan isn’t cheap, for the quality and taste versus price, service and ambience, I am willing to pay the premium.
Well, it turns out that there was booth seating in the back, complete with full table service. And the food was pretty good too, featuring a lot of fresh, local ingredients that were seasoned just right, making me very happy with that Veggie Wonderland plate above.
I'll highly recommend this cafe for a coffee or even breakfast and I heard they also have a late afternoon high tea set.
Tried their surume ika meshi. Grilled squid stuffed with rice and tobiko. Not bad.
If wonderlust is kicking you, this is definitely a place to be at!
Casual dining over fine dining, small bites over big mains, plenty of drinks with food. If you're the same type of diner as i am, you'd definitely enjoy Shukuu Izakaya.
The food was edible enough, but it also wasn't anything so exciting that I'd run right back here for it either.
One thing that can be improved is the service. The server was distracted.
A forward-thinking concept by the Spa Esprit Group, Drunken Farmer redefines food and natural wine pairing with an accessible menu. Head here to chill after work, or it also works as a casual date spot for some winey conversations.
The dishes I had at Sake Labo are quite good, and I like that the design of the space deviates from the traditional izakaya vibes. Sake and tapas bites are a perfect wind down combination after work or on weekends and this is a restaurant worth returning.
It is nice to see a cafe which opens near Telok Ayer even on Sundays, and Carrotsticks & Cravings is a good option for a fuss-free brunch post workout, or the occasional weekday brunch treat.
Tried a foie gras with brandied apples and oranges from their specials menu. The sautéed fruits were delicious.
With their unique sustainable Southeast Asian inspired dishes and cocktails, I am pretty sure I'll be returning very soon.
I enjoyed the drinks with local twists and local food with modern touches as well as also love the laid back tropical seaside life ambiance at LAUT NOA.
The food was excellent and travelled well, and both the food and drinks hold the concept of Southeast Asian flavours and spices really well.
Noa serves healthy food, which is great and on trend, and if you order the set lunch alone, it can be quite worth it.

Every item was good, with the only exception being the noodles having a slight kee or alkaline flavour, although this was made up for by the outstanding sauce made of dried shrimps and kelp.

A trip to Maxwell to da bao brought us to some of our favorites and some new experiences too. China Street Fritters and their Ngoh Hiang, Liver Rolls, Egg Slice and Sausage with Bee Hoon.
Nice. The rendang was nutty and lemak

Overall, this is the first time I came to BOF and I totally enjoyed the food here. Instead of the overpowering spicy Sichuan cuisine, most of the dishes have been well thought out, multi-layered yet balanced, delicious and well-executed.
Popular Sichuan-Western restaurant Birds Of A Feather located at Amoy Street spots a new menu, after a year long exploration and research by Executive Chef Eugene See.
Overall, if you are a lobster or seafood lover, the Lobsterfest is definitely a buffet you should visit to get a feast on endless lobster. You have 1 more day to visit after seeing my post or maybe you can start planning to visit for next year’s Lobsterfest
All festive buffet options include unlimited chilled juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Dinners include an additional complimentary glass of festive welcome drink.
The service at Lime Restaurant was delightful.
Dishes are generally still good, though prices have also gone up as with most establishments in Singapore.
The highlight was the Nasi Lemak so we ordered the signatures and side dishes to try for 5 of us.
Oh well… food and services are good and we will surely be back next time.
If you haven't been here, I hope the executive set lunch is reason enough for you to come by!
The duck confit was ok, and the seafood bouillabaisse was awesome, rich and flavourful with a mountain of seafood.
Overall, there are more misses than hits at LeVeL33 Craft-Brewery Restaurant & Lounge. It may not be worthwhile even with a scenic view.
