Service at Syohachi Yakiniku is professional and efficient. Staff are adept at fulfilling orders quickly, cleaning away empty / finished plates proactively, and also actively observing and topping up drinks as needed.
Overall, I think the food here is fresh and above average. Although the ventilation here can be improved, I think it is much better than some of the Korean barbecue joints that I frequent where I step out of the restaurant smelling like smoked bacon. Not that smoked bacon is a bad thing.
For diners with a hearty appetite, Syohachi is the place to go for a good yakiniku buffet in Singapore.
It is the service that made our visit memorable, though, and for all the wrong reasons.
Just like everyone else, I am also concern walking out from the restaurant smelling like BBQ. No worries when you dine in here as they have the special smokeless griller. You will leave the restaurant without the smell of grease smell on your hair and clothes.
