For nasi lemak lovers, this is the place for you as you have a vast choice of having it with either (let me take a deep breath first)....chicken rendang, chicken curry, ayam masak merah, ayam masak kicap, ayam goreng berempah, mutton curry, beef rendang, beef stomach, oxtail rendang, ikan kembong sambal or ikan kembong masah merah...phew! :P The food showcased here is just a fraction of what they have on offer as the menu is so extensive. I can't explain it but once I've had a plate of their average tasting nasi lemak, I have this feeling that I won't want to eat it again for months! @_@ Though their nasi lemak is their signature dish, it was the mee siam that I enjoyed most. None of the snacks I had so far (including the cendol) left an impression. If I had to choose one, it'd probably be the roti boom. And best to stay away from the drinks unless you want to be in a diabetic coma! The upside....portions and price! ^_* Portions are very generous and will appeal to the bigger-eaters with many of the main dishes costing under RM10. If your tastebuds are easily satisfied, then make a beeline for this place as it'll certainly fill your stomachs to the brim! :)

Yamaguchi Fish Market is inspired by fish market in Japan which allows customer to choose seafood from the market and they will prepared for them either in sushi or sashimi for them to eat fresh. That's the original way how it was started but time goes by competition is getting harder, many came out with different idea. So does Yamaguchi Fish Market to have it in a restaurant instead of a market.

Taste:8/10(Good. The lunch set food overall is good but not outstanding. Food presentation were good. The fried fish is a bit dry in the sweet fish bun and the taste is mostly enhanced by mayonnaise. The steamed bun however were perfect as its soft and light. The Yuzukosho tamarind chicken main dish was slightly overcooked and caused the meat to be a bit harder. Taste wise, the chicken is good. I like the dessert of lychee, mango and panna cotta. The dessert mixture taste were well executed and refreshing).

Unfortunately, I've realised that their food quality is totally crappy when they have tour buses pouring in. When it happens, their kitchen is not able to handle the crowd. EVERYTHING we had was practically bland. BKT soup tasted as though they added water. Chicken Rice Wine tasted bitter, just the flavour of the wine and nothing else - where is the ginger? Unagi Tamage Donburi - This was extremely disappointing - the unagi has a lot of bones. So many that we had to page the staff to inform them of this situation. The staff only said "it's normal to be like that". I'm not sure if they are trained to speak that way, but that's certainly not right. Also, there was no offer to change / remove it off the bill for such a amateur mistake. For an upscale restaurant, bones should be completely removed. If not don't serve it at all. I complained via Instagram and the handler responded with a more positive note - to prepare another bowl on the house the next time I return. This is a great way to let us know that they can do better than that. I haven't actually gone back for food every since - maybe next time. Thanks for handling it well!

Nyonya Fried Rice, 7.90 ringgit. This dish came recommended. Upon tasting it, I now know why. It is kind of hard to describe how tasty the fried rice was, words just could not do it any justice. The rice may look simple but boy did it taste really good. Good in a way that it sure did leave a lasting impression on my mind. This totally beats fried rice served at most of the mamak and indian resturants. You’s get a mix of everything – beans, chicken, prawns, carrots, in generous servings. Literally every mouth you’d take, some either a chicken in it or a prawn. It was a lil spicy but addictive. That is all I have to say. Do give this a try, really worth it. I just hope the same chef that cooked my dish, cooks yours as well, lol.
