We had some small bites for the night too. For beers drinkers, the Mish Mash Roast Pork (RM 30) which is seasoned with 5 different spices might be a great choice. It had a nice balance of lean to fat meat and a slight crisp skin. Dip the roast pork to the different sauces provided for a better enjoyment.

The cheese platter on the other hand, features 3 different types of cheese, cookies, apricots, walnuts and fried onion, which we felt alright except for the fried onion as the pungent smell affects the subsequent sip of the wine. One of the cheese, which is more of a semi solid form with a tad of saltiness is the one we enjoyed the most during the evening.

Normally I’m not a fan of pork chops as the ones I’ve had previously have all turned out too dry for my liking. Surprisingly, Naughty Nuri’s Grilled Pork Chops begged to differ. The juicy cut of meat (sourced very carefully with just the right amount of fat vs lean meat) was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and grilled to perfection. The meat was succulent and even better when eaten together with that layer of melt-in-your mouth fat.

We ended the night with a triple distilled single malt scotch whisky which was matured over 12 years. Served in a tulip shaped whisky glass which concentrates the aroma of the whisky to our noses (& enhancing the overall tasting experience). If you prefer whisky on the rocks, ice balls are used instead of normal ice cubes to make sure the ice doesn’t melt too fast and dilute the taste of the whisky.

This are the 2 drinks we tried, Planter Mix comes with Gin, lemon Balm Vermouth, Osmanthus, Corombola and Pandan Tonic. Quite an intersting drink that gives you nice balance but with the edition of chocolate or even the tomato on the toothpick, it did not enhance the drink or added flavour with it. Personally felt that without is better. Another drink which is : Ayurvedic Remedy : Bourbon Whisky, Hartaki Infusion, Lapsang Souchong Maraschino Reduction and Mandarin Bitters. Both drinks are at RM 38

I read up that, there are mix reviews on their dinner menu, some mention its good some mentions its so so. So really depending on your ingredient of the day. It seems that there are no fix menu as the chef will use the best ingredient to serve which is an omakase menu. By looking at other diners posting their dinner menu, If you do have slightly bigger budget for your dining, I guess you can give it a try. (Nope, I have not tried yet). Were there just to see what is the hype all about, and the drinks.

Well, we choose Kim Haus Spaghetti Aglio Olio Chicken (RM 22.90) and it did not disappoint. Spaghetti noodles were cooked to al-dente and was seasoned nicely with a hint of spiciness, then garnished with olives. We were surprised to see generous quantity of big chicken cutlets were served. It was great but the entire presentation or experience would have been better if the chickens were cut into smaller slices. Overall it was a great spaghetti.

The Char Siew Rice is one of the choice from the daily set menu. Priced at RM 13.80, it is a real bargain considering the amount of char siew that we get. The rice was slightly mushy for our liking, especially when it was stirred with the onsen egg. Char siew was cooked to nice texture and the taste was averagely ok. We were definitely pleased to see the aesthetically presented Hiyamugi Pasta... cold Noodles served with Ebiko, thinly sliced Beetroot, Deep Fried Garlic flakes and Sesame dip. Though simple, it was most refreshing; as though we were having Salad... the Sesame dip was nicely done... not too creamy nor heavy to go with the Noodles

Truffled Wagyu Donburi (RM 35) is definitely an extravaganza to be indulged. The dish is simple, featuring Japanese rice, medium rare beef and tamago with truffle oil. Medium rare beef is well executed and did offer a refreshing feeling if compared to regular beef we used to have elsewhere. Nevertheless, we felt the rice texture could have been slightly solid to improve the overall taste as it was too moist for our liking. Perhaps we poked the egg yolk and the liquid caused the rice to absorb partial of it.

Indian-inspired Sweet & Sour Chicken is one of the latest creations... basically grilled Chicken Thigh served atop of Japanese Rice and Sweet-Sour sauce. The combination of Japanese Rice and well-grilled Chicken Thigh speaks for itself. The Chicken was good on its own... perfectly tender and juicy; the Japanese Rice was well-executed either. We did not however, enjoy the Sweet-Sour sauce, we thought it was way too sweet to our liking. The 'Sour' factor somehow went missing and it was saccharine sweet to dip the Chicken into the sauce.
