The cafe’s signature is their grilled chicken chop with coffee sauce. It may sound like an odd combination, but the sauce has a nice coffee aroma to it and a slightly bitter tang which cuts through the creaminess and binds all the flavours together. The thigh meat was tender and juicy, perfect for sopping up the sauce. It also came served with cranberry butter rice, vegetables and a baked potato with sour cream

Indeed this is a better cafe to hunt for as their mains is good. Did not get to try their coffee as they are hit with water pressure so will go again another round. My personal favourite are: Seafood Laksa Pesto Carbonara Grill Chicken Tiramisu for finishing

Overall I wanna say this is a really nice cafe for chit chat and the food is nice too with reasonable price. I have already visited twice and I'm still not dissapointed. I ordered the coffee chicken carbonara because I wanted to know what coffee chicken tasted like. Shimmer Shine Cafe roasts its chicken with Ethiopian coffee which blends quite nicely - the robust flavour of the coffee marinated into the juicy chicken bits. I would love a chicken chop version of this. While the chicken was good, the carbonara was lacking in creaminess and could have used a hint of garlic. It was just a personal preference of mine.

The chicken burger was pretty good. It came with a large patty that was thick, juicy and flavorful. Besides that, it also included cheddar cheese, goulash, lettuce, tomatoes, burger buns and guacamole. With a side of fries, this dish as a whole was pretty nice. Almost good enough for me to overlook the issue I had with the dessert.

The sausages prove juicy & easy to enjoy - two of us easily finished five hot dogs (though we likely left behind some bread). Note however that the infusion of elements like cinnamon may turn out to be more subtle than expected, supplying nuanced dimensions of flavour instead of knock-out dynamics. There's potential for slow-burning pleasure, but probably no fireworks.

Depending on individual, it might looks a bit pricy for some, but if you fancy a excellent ambience for your lunch / dinner, then strongly recommend this place. Eating is not just to fill the stomach, you can do that with mixed rice, but it's the entire package, environment, ambience, smell, music, style, serving and etc. This is what Ben's in BSC offer, and I would definitely come back for any lazy afternoon that I just want a place to stretch myself for a lazy lunch/dinner. Thumbs up, loving it.

All in all I still love their pasta over other main…. The restaurant ambient is definitely a selling point providing a very comfortable dining experience. I can stay there for hours with the T2 teas (Ben’s use T2 brand for all their tea).

Piggie Pesto, 29 ringgit. This was good. It was a classic pesto pasta with smoked pork bacon and pork croutons. A lil dryer than the pesto pastas I usually have and with a whole lot lesser pesto sauce but it was nevertheless tasty. The pork croutons was a creative inclusion, it certainly did add flavor and some chewyness to this dish. There were button mushrooms scattered all over which added more texture to the dish. Overall, a good dish.

The Chicken Hamburg is basically 2 pieces of thick chicken patty, similar to a burger patty except thicker. It is tossed in thick flavorful and somewhat spicy tomato gravy, sprinkled with onions and mushroom. Just munching on the hamburgs alone filled me up. Why? There were two of it and when eaten with the rice and egg, it can keep you going for the rest of the day. I liked it, it was delicious.

Overall, the food was nice. It was a simple dish. The rice came with no gravy or sauce. So, what blends it all nicely would be the egg. It was cooked in a way whereby the yolk is soft, gooey. When broken apart and mixed, the rice gets all dense and sticky. The chicken provided much of the overall flavor to this dish. The sesame drizzle on the top was awesome. The meat had a nice flavor to it, it was tender and juicy. All in all, a simple yet filling dish. I still do think it is a tad overpriced at almost 17 ringgit.

Oyakodon Ricebowl, 18 ringgit Between the rice bowl and the noodles, I was in love with this particular rice bowl. I am a fan of caramelized onion and this dish came with it, in a generous portion. It was da bomb. The egg resembled a plain omelette – fluffy and buttery. Underneath the bed of egg, there was a chicken fillet and sticky, gooey Japanese rice. Usually I like my rice bowls with plenty of gravy which was not the case here – but it totally worked. I loved it.

Both dishes ordered were recommended, crowd favorites. The Cordon Bleu was well plated, I liked how it was presented. Tasted good too. The dish consisted of 5 pieces of chicken that was wrapped in cheese. Then, once breaded the ones here are pan fried and then tossed in the oven. I dig the texture, crispy on the outside, chewy and dense on the inside, flavorful too. The chicken was served on a bed of salad, some mushroom, tomatoes, salsa, greens. A tasty dish indeed.

Ooooo man, this was one good pizza. It was light, thin crusted and came with plenty of toppings. Lots of mozzarella cheese, broccoli, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, eggplants and olive. It was a delicious dish. The pizza was shared between the 3 of us, each of us 2 slices. Despite eating those, it felt like it was hardly enough. The dishes were yummy. The mash was buttery and smooth, having it with the gravy was da’ bomb. The sausage had a slightly tougher outer layer, the inside was meaty and chewy. Ooooo, this pastry was yummy. That garlic spread + cream cheese sauce was gooooooood. I really wouldn’t mind having the sauce alone in a jar, as dessert, lol. The combination was da bomb. The flavors were evident but it was unique here because it was toned down by some sweetness. Not too sweet as you’d still be able to taste the garlic and cheese.
