Overall, we really enjoyed both dishes here at Restoran Pan Heong.
The Kam Heong Lala was also fresh and juicy and the frying was done just right.
We trailed along residential and kampong roads passing by places like Titiwangsa, Air Panas, Taman Genting, Danau Kota, Kg. Sg. Mulia and Taman Selaseh before arriving at Restoran Long Kee Teow Chew Seafood at Seri Gombak. These were dishes recommended by Richard & Jerry.
This is one of the best and economical place for lunch serving many Malaysian favourites.
One of the items we usually order is the Deep Fried Talapia Fish (RM 24) where they are being deep fried with loads of oil. The talapia fish remains moist and juicy, while leaving you with the flaky texture.
This restaurant brings you with loads of delicious menu that you would love includes the Mee Yoke Lim{ Loh Mee & Prawn Mee}
Famed for their chicken rice, Lim Chicken Rice brings you with their tender and moist bbq chicken,. The chicken is freshly made daily and the taste is pretty good.
Pan Mee (RM 6) Their pan mee comes simply delicious where the pan mee is filled with loads of ingredients such as minced meat, fungus , sliced mushrooms and fish balls. The noodles are really good which is chewy and slurpy.
Here's the location.
总体来说这里的菜肴有自己的特色,据说都是老板娘自创的住家式菜肴,所以和外面的餐厅自然有所不同。
Here I eat to live, and non appetit to all!
Curry Fish (RM 30) One of the signatures here is the curry fish where the curry fish is served with chunky meat as well as the thick and yet light spicy curry. The ingredients come pretty fresh and I could easily finish my bowl of rice just with the curry alone.
I will rate this place average on food as the YTF and some accompanying dishes palatable and stomach filling.
We highly recommend Jiang Nan Prawns (and please ask for the size and price), Kerabu Mango Fish, Claypot Chicken Vinegar and Claypot Lamb if you plan to visit Venicia Restaurant Jalan Ipoh. It is best to make reservation and you can call them at 03-6259 8788.
Yummy, yummy Curry Mee with slice char siew !!! Price : RM 7.00
♥ Verdict: Total bill came to RM53.80, included a pot of Chinese tea which I thought was quite reasonable and wallet friendly for a Dim Sum establishment with a simple (less exclusive) setting like this. Overall, the food we had was just quite ordinary and probably did not manage to lure us to a second visit. Dim Sum options at my disposal are THIS and THIS, which suit our taste bud better.
Seafood Yee Mee Noodles ( RM 9) The plate of fried yee mee drenched with the egg based gravy. It is then topped with the seafood on top. I love the way they make it and every mouthful is simply delicious and good. Seafood are quite fresh as well.
Overall, the price is affordable here, and the prawns is a must to order!
A very different choice of hotpot spotted in Kuala Lumpur, originally from Qingyuan, Guangdong. The One Lemon Fish specialises in fish hot pot and its lemon soup base which is originated from Guandong, China. Each set of hotpots is suitable for 2-3 pax.
Hiap Hing coffee shop in Batu Caves is famous for their Hainanese drinks, ‘bao’ and toast. Last weekend, we dropped by for tea break and had a good time. Although it was way past lunch hour and most of the food stalls have closed, customers were still streaming in for a cuppa. The operators are a friendly lot and will gladly chat with you about the origins of their coffee shop.
