While the place is specializing in coffee, they have quite a good menu offering the different kinds of coffee. Coffee lovers might want to visit this place to check it out.
If you’d like a taste of Brotherbird Bakehouse’s more unique flavours, without having to deal with ordering online, head down to the newly-reopened Brotherbird Coffeehouse.
Food at % Arabica is limited to a few baked goods. People come for the coffee beverages, in either hot or iced form.
aficionados should definitely give Starter Lab Singapore’s handcrafted sourdough a try; also a laid back place for breakfast & good coffee.
Starter Lab – Bakery at Havelock Road
The high prices are a result of their labour-intensive process and commitment to quality ingredients, both of which are well worth shelling out for.
It took me quite long to finally try Da Dong, and no regrets at all. The dry prawn noodles is a clear winner for me.
Da Dong Prawn Noodles dishes out one of the better prawn noodles I’ve tasted in Singapore.
The pricing for the prawn mee is bound to raise some eyebrows at 13 - 20 SGD, a price range beyond the norms of what is expected of hawker food pricing.
Overall, we like this place considerably. The food is good, the coffee is great and the ambience just makes you park your bum there comfortably. A great café experience. The thick-cut bacon is a must-order here. Check them out if you are in the East, we’ll definitely come back to try the rest of their menu. Cheers!!

Containing no MSG or preservatives, the dishes are paired with rice or Hong Kong-stye doll noodles here at Joy Luck Teahouse.
Pretty underwhelming with the undefined crust which surprisingly lacked crunch. Kinda stingy with the luncheon meat methinks.
Joy Luck Teahouse offers the Egg Tarts from Hoover’s Cake Shop in Hong Kong.
if you are around Chinatown and crave for an east coast soupy bak chor mee, Soon Heng Pork Noodles may tide you over until you get your fix in the east.
It’s hard to find soupy bak chor mee, let alone delicious ones, and Soon Heng Pork Noodles do them pretty well.
The pork noodles were really fresh, with fresh pork fragrance rather than any unpleasant smell of frozen porkiness. You could taste the freshness and tastiness of the pork in the soup, minced pork, meatballs and dumplings. The noodles were nice and springy as well.
It is an old hardware store converted into a cafe. They also have a workshop/shop on the second floor that sells handmade stuff. They are super famous so be sure to come early or avoid lunch hours as it is crowded. The Nearest MRT station is Bendemeer MRT Station.
Overall, the food was tasty and with such a rustic environment, it's hard not to come back again.
Chye Seng Huat Hardware (or CSHH) is coffee roaster Papa Palheta’s flagship store.
The Academics Cinnamon Churros (SGD $16) is a dessert set.
I'm pretty sure we'll visit this place again in the near future, especially when we want strong coffee and an overwhelmingly large serving of pancakes! Heheh (:
All in all, we enjoyed the cafe pretty much - a relatively quiet spot for hanging out or catching up in the afternoons over a cuppa. Service was also rather good, so that was a plus point.
FOCR Tanjong Pagar or Five Oars Coffee Roasters Heritage is a chic cafe with friendly service, nice food and good quality coffee.
Five Oars Coffee Roasters is no stranger to the cafe scene, having been a Tanjong Pagar mainstay for several years now. Known for a minimalist and beautiful space, as well as a spacious shop floor, they moved out of the premises at the end of January.
Overall, middling coffee, lovely ambience for an afternoon of chats or kickback with a coffee and book.
The char siew was not bad, as I remembered it from Keong Saik Road – sweet, caramelised in parts and fairly tender. The sio bak was so so though – the crackling was thin and not so crackling.
Though roast ducks have a tendency to have a thick layer of white fat on it, this was just the right amount as the fat melted like butter and gave the meat an extra fragrant burst of flavour. It was oh so sinful, but oh so good.
very good wanton noodles, qq noodles and excellent chilli & sauce.
88 Hong Kong Roast Meat Specialist Lavender Street Review with pictures of menu with prices char siew, roast pork, roast duck, noodles ...
A mixed bag on the Char Siew, but the Siew Yoke is a must though!
Let’s just say 88 Hong Kong Roast Meat Specialist is worth trying without the horrendous queue and if you happen to be in the vicinity. Overall, I still prefer Roast Paradise for a similar comparison.
Who say healthy eating can’t be delicious and Chef Albert will prove you wrong.
I am filled with awe for Tiong Bahru Bakery Diner New Menu. Lots of vegetarian dishes are this delicious. Who say healthy eating can’t be delicious and Chef Albert will prove you wrong.
I highly recommend this place if you are wondering if it is worth a trip! I'll be back there myself
Onalu Bagel Haus has a cozy ambiance and a fairvariety of options for a simple meal or indulgent teatime treats; great spot for bagels and coffee.
Along with the decadent bakes from Grams, Onalu makes a great spot to satisfy your cravings for freshly made bagels and pastries in town.
If I had to choose a place to have my weekly bagel sandwich or healthy fruit bowls, this cafe in town will definitely rank high on my list.
Sarawak Delicacy Laksa & Kolo Mee serves up authentic Sarawakian cuisine with a new Friday Special in a coffee shop in Bedok. Read more.
My travel down to the Eastern Part of Singapore is worthwhile. I don't mind returning back to the same place for a bowl of Kolo Mee again should I have any cravings for it.

The space of Earlybird is cosy and spacious, which makes it an ideal space to have a leisurely brunch. The dishes are generally on point for a cafe, with no GST and service charge.
Every dish at Earlybird impressed, and it is safe to say that this is one of the best cafes to open in Singapore this year.
With addition of Earlybird, the cafe scene in the area is getting more competition.
Judging from the queuing instructions on the signs at the entrance, the cafe can get crowded at times. It was a nice comfortable place to have coffee on a quiet weekday afternoon. Service was friendly and helpful.
Where did I go for lunch today?
It was more on the ambiance, the service as well as the fr friendly baristas.
Seng Hong Coffee Shop is one of those last surviving old school coffee shop that seemed untouched by time. Visit them while you still can before they bite the dust in this fast paced society.
I love how "crunchy" the mee kia is. Well, not crispy crunchy but al dente crunchy. The marvelous old-school tossing sauce is just enough to coat the noodles without being too wet. You definitely have to ask for their chili sauce even if you cannot take the heat because it is really amazing.
The minced meat noodle stall is opened on alternate Sundays, so do take note as they have a sign in the shop stating if they’ll be open this Sunday. Come get your Bak Chor Mee fix here today!
PPP Coffee Review of cafe at Funan Mall Singapore with pictures of coffee and food menus, coffee, cake and snacks ....
Decent slightly woody and acidic latte from this offshoot of Chye Seng Huat Hardware.
The taste and texture reminded me of fruitcake. A pleasant cake which played a supporting role at our coffee break at PPP Coffee Funan Mall. The coffee is clearly the star at this cafe.
The food is a bonus to their coffee, which is already stellar in my books. You’ll definitely find me here again, lounging over another plate of pasta, with a cuppa to go along.
Overall, Homeground Coffee is a lovely and homely space, they do great coffee and have a decent selection of food to choose from, and coupled with being in the stunning area of Katong, you have another fantastic cafe to choose from in the neighbourhood.
Service was friendly and cheerful. The prices are reasonable and the place has a relaxed charm. We will certainly return to Homeground Coffee Roasters in Joo Chiat for their coffee. We like the food too.
friendly service, beautiful space and great coffee- made our visit to Alchemist HQ @ Khong Guan Building a wonderful cafe experience.
I also liked the environment, not as echoey as expected, with various seating arrangements, and decorative traces of the old heritage building. Look at the flooring.
Cafe space like this is hard to come by in Singapore, where you are literally the only prominent F&B concept.
