Jamaica Blue Fine Coffees - The Robertson Restaurant

Lot G-09, Ground Floor The Robertson Jalan Pudu Bukit Bintang 50150 Kuala Lumpur

Jamaica Blue has been built on two simple beliefs that have guided us in everything that we’ve done: a belief in sourcing the very best coffee; and a belief in using only fresh, premium ingredients to deliver contemporary café dishes with a twist. Our name, Jamaica Blue, is drawn from the majestic Blue Mountains of Jamaica, one of the best coffee producing regions in the world and home to our exclusive Wallenford Estate® Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee. Our simple philosophy of great coffee and food, together with our passionate crew of chefs, baristas and service team are the Jamaica Blue recipe for continued success. From our humble beginnings twenty-odd years ago, we now have a growing international network of more than 130 cafés in Australia, New Zealand, China, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.

Verdict: Jamaica Blue’s selection of coffees unquestionably can satisfy any coffee lovers but as a non coffee drinker, I’m happy with their extensive list of food as well. From breakfast (both savory and sweet), assorted hot meals (pasta, sandwiches, rolls and burgers) to dessert (scones, muffins and cakes), the choices are sufficient to please everyone.

Anyways, we are so blessed to taste one of the best and exclusive coffee for Jamaica Blue's beverages which is Blue Mountain Coffee. It is highly recommendation for those people who love to enjoy their favorite of black coffee as you can visit the Jamaica Blue! When my good friend and I tasted to drink their brand coffee, Long Black, it is quite bitter without any sugar and smell like a very strong aroma of coffee. By the way, it might make us feel energetic after drink this. Overall, it is mild & perfectly balanced and sweet with crisp finish. According to Jamaica Blue, Jamaica Blue Signature Blend is the highly recommendation for the coffee lovers!

Love the smooth, simple chee cheong fan, served in a bed of rich, mildly spicy curry sauce, flavoured up with aroma of minced dried shrimp.

The Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng was suggested to me by the kind lady who sat on the table next to us, seemed to be a regular patron and so, we took her advise. Glad we did. It was goooooood. As mentioned above, do remember to request for extra sambal though, the usual serving was hardly enough. The fried chicken either came in thigh or drumstick and since I am a sucker for more meat, lol – the thigh seemed ideal. It was tender, juicy, crispy and a perfect addition to the nasi lemak. Overall, a yummy dish.

Feeka Coffee Roasters is housed in converted town houses in Changkat Bukit Bintang in central KL. This oasis of calm was named for the Swedish word for work, Fika, (spelt the way it is pronounced), which means ‘to take a break’. Our range of coffees are brewed from beans sourced from local roasters, striking a balance suited to local tastes. Enjoy a perfect pairing of food and coffee at Feeka for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and top if off with a selection from our range of house-made mille crepes, pastries, tarts or pies.

Reasons to visit Feeka Coffee Roasters: relaxed setting full of character and a great green courtyard for cooler weather; excellent coffee; lots of meat-free and healthy options; I really enjoyed the Berry Chia Pudding and Grilled Chicken with Couscous; fans of mille crepe cakes should give the Almond Salted Caramel a try – out of 14 flavours it is the number one seller.

At the point of writing this post, it’s not my first time returning to { X } Coffee, to try out their signature hand brew coffee from a wide array of single origin beans, roasted by the established Maruyama Coffee, Nozy Coffee, Hoshikawa Café and Glitch Coffee & Roasters.
