I had a great meal at Lolla. While the restaurant feels a little dated by now, it is still a great dining venue if you are looking for robust flavours and a straightforward dining menu. It also helps that the dining ambience is quite casual, which makes this an ideal spot for first date nights.
The concept is small plates of fusion fare but then given a more original flavour & plating excellence, loving this Lolla Singapore Review.

In all, it was a thirst quenching dessert on a hot day. However, I would have preferred to go for cheng tng or ice jelly, if both were also available either on the menu or at other stalls.
The chendol strips possessed good pandan and coconut flavours but was slightly clumpy. The gula melaka was the bomb, rich without being cloying. The red beans were comforting and satisfying. I would have this any day over brown sugar milk tea.
A bowl of chendol that truly embodies the Singaporean hawker spirit!
We like the variety and the wacky setup. Would be back for more!
Overall, there is nothing too special about Tian Wang, other than them opening till 3am which is a plus point for late owls.
This new Chinese dessert cafe brings vibes to the next level with its neon lights and mahjong tile wallpaper. They also have popular Mandopop hits playing in the background.
The kueh lapis sagu had a very restrained and balanced sweetness, as well as a refined coconut milk fragrance. The lemper ayam was very nice, having a very wholesome savouriness with perfectly sticky and savoury glutinous rice and chicken. Takeaway only.
Great place to find some authentic Indonesian kuehs and dishes made with a lot of passion!
Makan House by Ollella is a good hangout with good espresso coffee and authentic Indonesian fare.
BOP is interesting as their flavours were inspired by nature.
I would definitely suggest getting their aromatic thyme cones with flavours such as Seasalt Houjicha, White Chrysanthemum, Earl Grey Lemongrass, Lychee Raspberry and Basil.
Overall flavour profile of earthy herbal sweet, and balanced in taste. Good!
Peanut paste, almond cream and walnut paste. Flavourful and not overly sweet, with a nice smooth texture. Good stuff. No wonder the queue right at opening.
It was a great experience that we stumbled upon this dessert place. It's really a gem and totally worth a comeback.

Enjoy good food and coffee in Burnt Cones of Sunset Way
Their Ube or Purple Yam ice cream was really nice, carrying a nice sweetness and the fragrance of the yam, with some creaminess and thickness in texture and flavour, a bit like orh nee. Good stuff.
The unique concept of this ice cream cafe, along with friendly staff, good food, and dessert got me vowing to return.

the mutton is definitely a solid choice to pair with the fragrant nasi which was fluffy, light and not too oily.
Satisfying briyani for $5.50 if you are willing to brave the long queue!
This was always crowded when I passed it on weekends. So I took the chance to try it on a less crowded weekday night. Indeed not bad – light, fluffy and slightly sweet and creamy. Probably tasted better served with the sugary pastel pink decor.
We liked the piccolo latte – the small but mighty mellowed espresso with steamed milk. The Orange Mocca Ice Brew was interesting but not something we really fancied. We would stick to classic coffee.
Good for ladies who are looking to shoot with instagrammable pancakes!
KKI Sweets was the dessert cafe which we went to after lunch recently. This ‘atas’ dessert shop delights with its very focused repertoire and artistic cakes that look too good to eat.
This visit to Kki was long delayed as I had heard of its renowned Japanese-inspired cakes back when it was located at Ann Siang Hill. By th...

Voyage Patisserie is a cosy space that can fit around 30 to 40 people.
My lunch at Voyage Patisserie was rather delightful. I liked the space and the fact that it was not crowded and noisy on a weekday.
The patisserie was not as refine as I expected. I am comparing them to the authentic French Patisserie standard.
It seems like I am always on the lookout for ice cream / gelato but you can’t really blame me when there is a plethora of them here in the l...
Although Apiary’s desserts are a little pricey, their ice-cream (especially the Blue Milk) is one of the best I have ever tasted!
Apiary, pronounced as “eh-pee-er-ee”, is a place where beehives are kept, honey are contained, somewhere to satisfy your sweet cravings (literally) along Neil Road.
Overall, it was an enjoyable 1-hour session and it helps me to understand more about the King of Fruits!!

A visit back here to Zhao An Granny Grass Jelly after 9 years. It was after breakfast that I wanted some drinks and I recalled this stall that I had patronized the last round.
The taste of grass jelly feels refreshing and cooling. There's always stomach space for it after a hearty meal at Golden Mile Food Centre.
Zhao An Granny Grass Jelly offers a soothing old-school dessert that definitely tastes better than factory-made grass jelly.
charming durian cafe offers small selection of cakes & desserts - including craquelin & ice cream, freshly made without artificial flavour
Given its concept, Ms Durian is a spot that seems to differ from the other durian-centric establishments that had sprouted all over the island a couple of years ago.
If you are craving for durian desserts, you can head down to Ms Durian for a try. Don’t forget about your mints.
Overall, I think the atmosphere is really nice to chill and hang up with friends and the greatest plus point is that it is open 24 hours and the menu variety is quite large. While the drinks and desserts are quite general in taste, they are quite pretty for pictures. The price for some items are pricey than usual but there are still pocket friendly choices. Do note that they tend to run out of traditional hot desserts later in the night or past midnight
All in all, Smile Dessert is the kind of cafe you visit for its aesthetics, and not its food.
Bugis is home to a variety of options offering sweet treats ranging from traditional favourites at HoneyMoon Dessert to Belle-Ville’s fluffy pancakes — so much to eat, so little time!
The pretty cake was gently and flowery sweet, very delicate and layered, with many different textures, from the fruity guava and elderflower mousse encasing three different layers – diced fresh pears, pink guava jelly and a buttery and crumbly cookie base. The latte was so so though, very milky.
Tigerlily Patisserie is a great addition to Joo Chiat, which joins the ranks of popular establishments like Da Dong Prawn Noodles and Petit Pain. Expect to pay higher than average prices for tarts, crazy queues and one aspect which could be better, the service.
Tigerlily Patisserie cafe in Joo Chiat is a great option for breakfast & brunch; and for beautifully crafted sweet & savoury pastries.
Jin Yu Man Tang Review
Jin Yu Man Tang Dessert is taking a good step forward. By providing a comfortable setting to enjoy affordable and classic Chinese desserts, they are setting the groundwork for a greater appreciation for Chinese desserts.
Cosy place for affordable desserts.
For such quality of food and gelato, its absolutely worth a comeback!
The café is mostly white and grey in color, with a combination of marble tabletops. Very classic and elegant. They even had swings, although because of space limits, they couldn't swing very far. You should sit on their swinging seats. hahaha
Great durian puffs, crispy outside and full of pure durian purée.
There are still a number of items I would like to try from their menu. I will like to make a return trip back to Pang Zi Durian. Thank you Mr Neo for the Invitation.
One of their latest creations is Dark Chocolate Durian, and if that's intriguing enough, do visit them and have a try.
