Crowded, food is okay. Most dessert are sold out.
Chocolate Millefeuille - MYR 16 nett. Coffee Eclair - MYR 13 nett. Both of them are half eaten in the photo above. In a nutshell - while they taste better than those sold in other bakeries but they are still on the sweeter side since they are meant to be sweet pastries so I don't think I will go back for more.
My Personal Opinion Bring your sweet tooth (and, by that, I really mean your sweet tooth) if you want to enjoy these baked goods. Make sure you order yourself a black coffee...and make sure it's bitter (without adding sugar) to cut through all that sweetness, otherwise it'll send you straight to diabetic heaven! ;P In the end, it proved way too sweet for me to have any remote chance of enjoying these sweet goodies. I'm afraid once was quite enough! >_< I'd rather go for the famous Japanese pastry, Chateraise Patisserie, instead.
I ordered the Hanami Tea and had Francais Chicken Waffle Set (RM29) which turned out to be the best waffle I ever had but don't go there on an empty stomach. I am very particular about waffle after all. The chocolate waffle was crispy unlike those in other cafes. The icing on the cake was definitely the bull's eye egg which I reminded them to make it such a way.
Each Traditional Afternoon Tea set comes with free flow of selected tea, warm scones, made-to-order finger sandwiches and pastries. There is also a Gelato Afternoon Tea with three scoops of gelato for RM79 per person and Grand Chocolate Afternoon Tea with six pieces of Betjeman's finest chocolates for RM89 per person. They also offer a Children's Afternoon Tea for 4-10 year olds, which comes with milk or hot chocolate at RM39 per child.
