Overall, Dave’s has plenty to offer although the menu needs to be more streamlined and a refresh to keep up with current trends. In these increasingly tough times, it would make better sense to retain the crowd-pleasers and introduce newer items on a trial basis to attract new customers while seeking to inject fresh creativity into its current menu.
DH ordered the Crispy Pork Knuckle for RM 66. We didn't expect for it to be a big portion but boy, it was! And the name says it all - it's really crispy! It's served on a sizzling hot plate and comes with mixed vegetables and potato wedges.

Taste:8/10(Good. The oysters were good and quite fresh but the selection is quite limited and small size. The restaurant has wrongly estimate the demand for their oysters and we feel not enough even though we have taken 2 dozens. The first round were ok but second round oysters were small. Truffle chicken breast with risotto mushroom taste great with very tender meat and smooth. Sausages were great as well. A bit disappointing that they only give one lamb sausage on the platter. It should have 2 each).
The President (RM 21.80) For chicken lover, you can go for The President. The president is served with the roasted chicken, mozzarella cheese, French garlic sauce, caramelized onions and the roasted cherry tomato. The taste is just awesome with the delighting and aromatic flavours, tender chicken meat with the creamy and fragrant mozzarella cheese and the garlic sauce. Yummy!
A meat lover's dream, the Wagyu Steak Out (RM36.80) is a must-try! A 100g Wagyu steak, perfectly cooked to medium rare doneness, is complimented beautifully with mozzarella cheese, mustard BBQ sauce, pickled cabbage, caramelised onions, roasted tomato and garden greens. This time, we had it with the sourdough bread, which was excellent too.
It was delicious. Mr Baa Baa is made up of Grilled NZ Lamb + Mustard BBQ + Mozzarella + Pickled Cabbage + Garlic Aioli + Mint Leaves + Cranberry Jam. In terms of the bagels itself, there are 5 types you can choose from – Plain, Seeded, All Sorts. Salt and Pumpkin. I opted for the Pumpkin bagel, just for the heck of it. It was yummy, filling and wholesome. It was like munching on a really fat sandwich. Just to get a bite on the whole thing (all layers in one go), it would entail you to stretch your mouth to the maximum. The blend of flavors was nice. I’d never put lamb and cranberry in the same equation, but it works. The distinct flavor from the meat, mozzarella and mustard sauce was made better with the addition of sweetness from cranberry jam. It sneaks up on you. Loved it.
Chicken Rendang with Rice, 15 ringgit. Once we were done with the waffle, as we were both still hungry, we decided to order a rice bowl for early dinner. Yummy 🙂 I like that the rice was real soft and moist, once you mixed everything up – it literally becomes one pile of gooeyness. The chicken came in generous portion, nice chewy cubes of meat. I usually like my gravy packed with flavors and spices, the gravy here was a tad milder than what I am used to but it was yummy nonetheless. They also included some steamed carrots and couliflowers which was an awesome addition to the dish. It gave the dish some crunch amidst the gooey.
The Banana Leaf Waffle (RM25) was served with a big vade waffle, sprinkled with balsamic rice vinegar crackers and curry leaves. On the side it came with tomato chutney, coconut ice cream, mango jelly with chilli, mango curry chantilly, all served on top of an actual banana leaf. The texture of the waffle was dense yet refined, very yummy. Regardless which accompaniments you chose, every bite was bursting with flavour that you could possibly think of when having Indian food, from vade, to chapati, to tosai. Our favourite was the mint chutney and yogurt (tiryu), as both had a taste reminiscent of the real pudina chutney and that you could find when eating roti naan.
An Indian-flavour, inspired and savoury Contains waffles, yoghurt and tons of chutney The magical element that makes you sigh and go “DEI…” is Forêt Blanc’s genius Banana Leaf Waffle V2.0 that tastes EXACTLY like Vade!
The bistro food pays homage to modern French comfort food, while adopting local elements. It has been a forefront contender in Malaysia's food scene, offering creative and daring dishes to its patrons.
Overall, I wouldn't say that the experience was a total disaster. There were some hits and misses, but for me, the overall experience is very important too and I'll definitely wouldn't mind going back there to dine again. I would like to try out other dishes on their menu.
Ithink it’s a bad thing that Bistro à Table is only a stone’s throw from our place. The temptation to eat there is just too great, and I feel no remorse when I say that I might actually be dining there again tonight, with my parents and the husband. The last time I came, I was swept away by the Australian Wagyu which had an insanely high marbling score of 9.
Both dishes ordered were recommended, crowd favorites. The Cordon Bleu was well plated, I liked how it was presented. Tasted good too. The dish consisted of 5 pieces of chicken that was wrapped in cheese. Then, once breaded the ones here are pan fried and then tossed in the oven. I dig the texture, crispy on the outside, chewy and dense on the inside, flavorful too. The chicken was served on a bed of salad, some mushroom, tomatoes, salsa, greens. A tasty dish indeed.

Canard a l’Orange, RM 42 This French classic main course stunned us with how brilliant and vibrant the combination of flavors were. It simply consists of French roast duck, orange sauce and sides of salad. Naturally one of the trickiest things was to ace the orange sauce so its acidity doesn’t overpower the whole dish. Luckily for Terrasse Cafe&Bistro, they nailed it in terms of taste, presentation and the juiciness of the duck. The sauce and meat pairs well together. The roast duck was generous in portion and tender for most part. Can be shared with 2 people.
Considering Yeast’s reputation, the food was not up to the standard I expected. However, I wasn’t completely let down by our dishes, and I’d be willing to try this place again. Yeast is a much more relaxing place to enjoy a meal without battling the crowds from the mall.
Chicken Signature Burger, 15.90 I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. This was a set meal, it came with burger (beef/chicken), a side of mash potato or wedges and a drink (ice lemon or peach tea) at a cost of 15.90 ringgit. The burger was juicy and yummy. There was the burger bun, followed by a burger patty topped with melted cheese, pineapples, tomatoes and greens. The potato wedges were freshly fried, I like that despite the thickness, it was crispy on the outside. The dish as a whole was better than what I anticipated.
Melon Milk Chocolate A sweet chocolate comes with soft yellow melon fillings, highly recommend for those who like to have melon taste chocolate.

Kimchi Spaghetti was yum. Cheese blends well with the Kimchi that is packed with flavour. Something new I tried in the cafe that it manage to impress me well. Set lunch is inclusive of drink and you can choose between iced sencha or coffee. Kimchi Spaghetti @ RM 14.90
Beef Tenderloin with Bearnaise Sauce (RM60). The kids thoroughly enjoyed the beef tenderloin, which was perfectly cooked to medium rare doneness. This was served with steamed vegetables and Russet potato.
Carre d’agneau aux Herbes Provencales – Lamb rack with Provencal Herbs and Ratatouille The Lamb Rack is perfectly prepared and grilled. No gammy taste at all and it is sides with the lovely ratatouille.
