Located right outside the heart of KL city, Veg Fish Farm Thai Restaurant is hidden in the luscious forest of Hulu Langat. Not only are you surrounded by nature here, but you get to dine right beside a huge lake where fishes swim freely. You can roam around their farms and even feed the fishes in the lake. Whatās even more special is how the waiters ride on speedboat to bring your food piping hot from the kitchen, which is on the other side of the lake.
Veg Fish Farm Thai Restaurant serves delicious Thai dishes at a hilltop in Kuala Lumpur. Just 15-20 minutes away from the KL City Center, you'll find yourself immersed in the serenity of its surrounding nature and a lake in the middle of the restaurant itself while enjoying a scrumptious meal of fresh seafood dishes. (This video was filmed in Feb 2020)
Regarding the food, I would recommend you to order the Squid Thai Salad (it's delicious) we even requested it for a second time. Mango Coconut Milk is a must for dessert, Coconut to cleanse your palate, Belacan Lady Finger for some fibre and Talapia Thai Steamed With Lime for a source of protein.
5/10. Good ambience (and free WiFi - just ask the staff for the password), but Iām probably not coming back here for the food (or at least the breakfast/lunch/dinner). In my opinion, has many similarities to Mei (also considered a fairly healthy eating spot) and I just think that the quality - at a similar price point - is just much better at Mei. Probably the reason for the slightly harsher review, but a nice spot to have coffee (or at least it has the ambience for it)!
I went for the Hoisin Smoked Duck Rice Roll (RM16), which came in a generous portion with Japanese rice, tempura mushroom and onsen egg. Considering the price vs portion, it was pretty value for money! The duck had a sweet flavour which was closer to a teriyaki glaze, and the meat was tender but not gamey. Loved nibbling on the flavourful extra layer of duck fat on the top ! The tempura mushrooms werenāt greasy and gave the dish a crispy element. Egg was perfectly poached. All in all, a solid rice bowl.
There is a "cool look" to both the interior and exterior of Garage 51, with an mordernist and industrial deco, coupled with reburbished huge oil drums as seats at the entrance, plus the huge mural painting on the big wall outside; you can't miss it. And definitely serves up a good Latte!
The coconut shake is ok, with plenty of snacks. Visit when convenient, don't have high hope.
So far, berbaloi la mama rasa beratur selama 15 minit tu. Kawasan parking utk dine in besar dan terletak di bahagian dalam lorong harga coconut shake pun harga std aje. Memang wajar diberi pujian kerana tidak tekan harga..

Good service despite the crowd, less waiting time as they have more space. Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng (RM 12.30) is satisfying with big portion, like it better than Rendang.
The way that Malaysian standup comedian, Joanne Kam, lambasted the differences between Singapore style and Malaysia style nasi lemak motivated me to check out the most famous nasi lemak eatery when I was at Petaling Jaya (PJ) recently; Village Park Restaurant!
A good contrast in comparison to the sight and smell of the rendang daging and fried chicken.
Overall, we enjoyed our meal here at Bumbu Bali, as we managed to satiate our craving for Balinese food. This space is definitely worth checking out if youāre looking for a nice and comfortable spot for dinner in Puchong.
For snacks, we shared the fried chicken strips (RM17), served with garlic pepper sauce. This was mostly chicken skin but oh-so-addictive. The sauce was strong and garlicky.
I do not know much about Balinese food and so, all I will say is that the food here is good. I went online, was curious to see the restaurant reviews as well as how well rated it was and yea, the reviews and ratings speaks for itself. Food was goooood, delicious. The dish came with Rice + Spiced Squids + Grilled Fish + Grilled Prawns + a Satay Lilit ( chicken or beef) + Chicken Rendang + Sambal (sambal Matah and sambal Terasi) + Anchovies Crackers + Salad. It was worth every penny, that is all I have to say. Did I mention how satisfied I was ā very.
Overall the food is still up to expectation and the price is still reasonable (market rate in PJ). Consistency is of the freshness and taste of their food is the key of the popularity of Lala Chong Kayu Ara Seafood Restaurant.
The Kam Heong crabs were super huge and super-satisfying. We ordered two crabs (RM88/kg) to feed five. The kam heong sauce was fragrant - we detected the addition of bunga kantan, which really elevated the dish.
There is also a satay stall here at Lala Chong Seafood Restaurant. Satay is tasty and juicy, worth to order as side dish while eating your dinner here.

Verdict: Surprisingly for a Japanese restaurant in hotel, the food isnāt charged with āpremium priceā that I would have expected. Food wise, we had no complaint on the food that we tried that evening
Dragon roll at MYR 40.28 nett with a deep fried prawn in the middle. One piece each and my friend prefers a similar roll at Yuzu - the .Ebi Avocado maki.
50g of grilled sirloin beef with tomato in rich miso at MYR 88 nett. The beef is served rare so I decided to cook it more. I was quite wary of the gas cylinder. I removed all the slices of tomato and put them on a plate. Then I cooked the slices of beef on both sides slightly and switched off the fire when they are just done. The beef is very tender and delicious!
Well, the food was still edible, and I particularly liked a fish that they rubbed in cumin (or was it ground fennel seeds?) as well as a crispy roasted chicken. But there's no need to come back here to pay these kinds of prices either; Pantai was a steal compared to this place.
Puas hati. Terkabul hajat. Bebila boleh cuba datang dan makan lagi.
The restaurant is pork free restaurant and they have many Malay patrons. The restaurant offers varieties of seafood and mostly are still swimming in water tanks. The concept is similar to Unique Seafood Restaurant where you got to choose your own seafood.

Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don with Chawanmushi and Miso RM 48 This is another don we ordered and it is Unagi and Grilled Salmon Don. Overall, we really enjoyed the dishes here at Hua Mui. Hua Mui executed most of the dishes well ā which we deem to be above the average of most kopitiam fare. In particular, we enjoyed the chicken chop, half-boiled eggs and toast.

Their menu is huge and we chose to go with Nasi Kerabu Daging Bakar and Laksam. Also, check out their signature Teh Mabu Ambo; it looks out of the world and the definitely very satisfying.
I enjoyed the Nasi Kerabu. It was delicious and certainly filling. It came with the usual bluish grey rice + 4 meaty medium pieces of chicken + telur masin + crushed fish crackers + chicken floss + ulam. Chicken floss?? Yup, I donāt think Iāve had this particular dish with floss before but hey, I liked it. The fried chicken was slightly āberempahā, it provided extra ummph to the dish as a whole. Then, there was the sambal ā¦. āmemang kawā. It was potent. If you want spicy, this was really spicy. Just a small dose of it makes a big difference. It was gooood. All you got to do is mix it all up and you are all set. A delicious dish indeed.

Flavours were sweet and clear in most of the dishes, as what Hongkong-style does: allowing the natural goodness of ingredients to shine. With wellness very much in mind, the dishes are well executed with minimal use of oil and hard flavouring

This one is the sriracha chicken plus spaghetti carbonara which was only about RM20. Itās definitely filling and is value for money. The pasta has a lot of mushrooms in it which enriched the taste as well.

Baked egg with chicken pepperoni RM 13.90: Egg, carrot, button mushroom, capsicum, garlic, mint, tomato sauce, chilli pepper with black charcoal toast Look like Shakshouka that has been given the trimmed down version, it was a little dry.
