To go with your banana leaf rice meal, don't forget to order the mutton varuval (RM12) and fried sotong (RM15). As always, the mutton chunks were tender and flavorful, and happy to note that the fried sotong was excellent this time as well with a light, crispy batter.
Reasons to visit Shelley Yu’s: pretty setting; Nyonya inspired drinks; do try the Rozelle Spritz; good happy hour deals; nice gin collection.
Rusuk masak kicap (RM60) - one of our favourite dishs here at Shelley Yu's! Beef short ribs are first marinated for 48 hours and then slow cooked in soy and spices for hours until fork tender and falling off the bone.

Not sure if you noticed but there’s a new restaurant called #BAE (Build and Eat) just across Telawi Square. It’s hard to miss it because of its peculiar signboard and eye-catching colors. For a contemporary restaurant, and moreover, in Bangsar, you would expect the prices to be up there. As it turned out, their menu actually offers plenty of budget eats which are only RM2.50 each.
