Food tasted good. I enjoyed their Nasi Lemak. The chicken especially was da bomb. There were 3 medium sized chicken pieces which was about 95% boneless. I thought the 3 pieces of meat was generous in portion size, it lasted me throughout the meal. It was tender, juicy and crispy. I loved the fact that the outer layer did not have too much flour in it and I think the batter had spice added to it because it wasn’t just the usual fried chicken, it was a flavorful one
Portuguese “Devil” Curry, 19.30 ringgit. This was some good stuff. If you fancy yourself some spicy curry, Devil curry is it. I’ve been to several other eateries that goes a lil overboard on the spiciness – the kind that makes you sweat and drink lots of water, that was not the kind served here. At Mum’s, the curry was spiced just enough to allow you a perfect balance between spicy and hot. The chicken was yummy too, literally falls of the bone. Having it with rice on the side, delicioussssss.
Chilli Bean Paste Chicken, 15.50 ringgit. If you are into the Korean fried chicken (KFC) frenzy and loveeee them KFC with chili, then you would certainly like this dish. It basically consist of chicken thigh meat, spring onions, onions, red capsicum, chilli bean paste. The dish does not come with rice. I however decided to get myself some rice on the side because – well, I simply cannot eat those chicken without rice 🙂
