Sausage was nice but they bought it from somewhere and simply pan fried it.

My plate of char siew and roasted pork rice comes with an hard-boiled egg and bowl of cabbage soup. Portion wise, it is rather filling for me and I wasn't expecting an egg to be included so I would say $4 for this meal is quite worth it.

It is almost a role reversal! The Pork Belly is firm and tender with a good bite.

Tiong Bahru Market Attraction

Tiong Bahru is very famous for the quality and range of the local food fare. In particular, Tiong Bahru market boasts some of the best hawker stalls in Singapore that tops the country’s eatery charts regularly. It is not uncommon for people living in other parts of Singapore to come all the way to Tiong Bahru to enjoy a simple meal of Char siew rice, stir-fried prawn noodles, and other local culinary delights. In a city-state abound with food courts, hawker centers and other eateries, this bears testament to the delectability and popularity of the food in Tiong Bahru.

Overall I think the fish ball noodles here is good but not outstanding. The note worthy is the stall still handmade their own fish balls which is quite rare nowadays with factory readily available.

The portion is good for a light snack or to go in between meals. This is definitely amongst one of the best Rojak and is a must-try if you are at Tiong Bahru Food Centre.

All in all, I think Nan Heng whips up flavourful chicken rice that’s worth queueing for. It’s no surprise that this stall has garnered a huge loyal following.

This plate of Fried Kway Teow $4 was delicious. It was fragrant and flavourful with a good balance of sweet and savoury. It would have been perfect if wok-hei was infused in it. The small pieces of crisp pork lard at the side provided even more flavour with each bite.
