The Signature Hokkien Mee, 14.20 ringgit was delicious. It was packed with pork meat and lard. Literally filled with it and real greasy – the criterias to a good hokkien mee, lol. Yum Yum!

精明消费的我必选猪扒蛋饭,因只需加RM1就附上一杯香浓顺滑且不涩的澳门奶茶,好满足!

My Personal Opinion If you're looking for a good Chinese nasi lemak with pork on the menu, a sambal and rendang that can give the Malay ones a run for their money....this is a worthy contender, for sure. It was certainly a lot better than many of the Chinese-made nasi lemak I've tried so far.

As for their Hennessy XO Seafood Noodle is indeed fragrant, alcohol taste is not too overpowering and is just nice. Seafood sweetness taste is there too. I can just finish this whole bowl myself. @ RM 18

Fried Kuey Teow, 7.50 ringgit (Big) Having tasted it, I can almost guarantee that not one of us regretted our decision because it was tasty yawwww! A big plate would cost you 7.50 ringgit and a small plate would cost you 6.50 ringgit. The dish came with plenty of fish cakes, prawns, taugehs, cockles. It was delicious. I’d certainly be back here. It is surprisingly understated, I think. Despite its popularity, it was rather quite during brunch/lunch. Naturally, that meant that food arrived really fast too, which is another plus point.

I came here looking for pork noodles but bumped into a familiar char kway teow stall instead. Though some may say it's one of the best pork noodles in KL and many sing its praises, I'm sorry but I don't share the same sentiment (it's still decent but I prefer others). I guess I just have a different taste bud, that's all. Unless I'm looking for a value-for-money bowl of pork noodles, I don't see myself rushing here anytime soon, more so when I have to wait an insanely long time for it.

So far, we have never been disappointed by Sam’s yong tau fu but if there’s anything they could improve on, it might be the soup which tastes kind of light. Not necessarily a bad thing though, at least it’s not loaded with MSG.

Don't think I'll ever return to LST - the standards clearly dropped so much as compared to before, or just don't go to the one at Sunway Putra Mall.. If you have to, don't order any of the above.

Penang Jawa Mee. It is a must to top up with prawn fritters, lime, potato, slices of taufu and thick gravy in yellow noodle only. What is missing is only crushed chunky peanuts. Love it as the gravy is thick and fragrant. The consistency of food is there as I dine at least once or twice a week over here. @ RM 6.50

Basically, there are two versions of salted egg fried koay teow available. By default, two spoonfuls of salted egg are added into the wok for a quick stir fry right before the noodle is done. That way, the salted egg melts completely and the flavor and aroma get absorbed into the noodle.

We were bowled over by this bowl of fish head noodles. The soupy delight came to us in a milky anchovy, flavoured with Chinese cooking wine and lightly deep-fried battered pieces of fish. No, not really; there was this generous portion of fish fillet accompanied with several pieces of the smaller portions in the bowl. I have requested for more flesh and not fish heads, so we have this yummy piece of fillet for my son to enjoy without any bones. Generous amounts of coriander leaves, tofu, fried shallots, tomato, lettuce, preserved mustard and ginger lend flavour to the broth that has mee hoon in it. The generous use of ingredients offers a burst of flavours. For me, this bowl is worth every single cent you paid for it or even more. So far, this is my first encounter getting to eat such a delicious bowl of fish head noodles at such a cheap price for a chock-full of ingredients for RM 6.50 only! So cheap you can't find anywhere else and definitely in the city centre like in Bukit Bintang area where the rent is expensive.

A brief chat with the friendly aunty revealed that she only sold prawn mee when her stall opened 16 years ago. As time passed, she gradually added her offerings to include Jawa Mee and Loh Mee too. She also told us that this area used to have students and business used to be better. However, a number of them have moved to neighboring housing areas to enjoy cheaper rents. I asked if she’s from Penang because her stall sells mostly Penang food, but she replied that she is actually born and bred in KL.
