What do We Like about Kompassion? -Foods were all great and delicious. Can see the efforts behind each dish from the ingredients used -Comfortable environment and attentive staff
Dinner was about RM250 for three pax, and considering how we ate so much, plus drinks and desserts, it was very reasonable. Kompassion has certainly upped their game, yet managed to keep their prices down at more affordable levels.
Our meal for four, inclusive of drinks and desserts, came up to RM250++. Considering the setting, as well as quality of food and service, I think this is a reasonable price. There are plenty of other dishes that I’ve yet to try on the menu, so I’m looking forward to my next visit. Reservations are recommended, but you can try walking in too.
What do We Like about Thai Hou Sek, One Utama? -The delicious fusion Thai foods. The clear tom yum soup was nicely done -The value set meal was indeed value for the money -Comfortable dining environment
Also ordered one of their bestsellers: Siu Yuk Tom Yum. The dish is good enough for 2-3 people, and comes loaded with chunks of roast pork and juicy mushrooms. The soup is everything a good tom yum should be: sour and appetising, great with rice, and spicy with a kick.
Siu Yuk fried rice at MYR 19+ (MYR 20.14 nett). The siu yuk rind is crispy but some may find the meat to be on the dry side.
Another lunch of coconut and pad thai. This pad thai is not that sweet so it tastes very good.
"Streat Thai" and not (Street) Thai, is all about Thai street food (also one at Tesco Puchong), the establishment also offers Online Order and Delivery services!
At Streat Thai, they dub it ‘Tom Yum Wow’. H&I got a pot for two to share. (RM42.90). Aside from crab meat sticks and chicken balls, the mix was also topped with fried chicken wings which still retained a slight crispiness even after soaking in the soup. Served separately were fried fish fillets which were nice and moist. Salty, crispy, springy, savoury – what more can one ask for?
What do We Like about The Porki Society? -The foods tasted good especially the grilled pork neck. It was well marinate -The main courses are value for money. There are many variety to choose from
9/10 Stars.. Price : Worthy Services : Friendly and Good Environment : Warm & Homey with lovely Thai Music Food Type : Modernist Thai Status: NON-Halal
Very spicy! I think the restaurant "The Porki Society" was popular for their Boat Noodles in amongts folks in SS2 or PJ area.

I went for the grilled pork skewers (three pieces – RM10) and spicy sausage. Both were really tasty and great with rice. The sausage had a strong flavour of lemongrass and sported a chewy casing that contrasted nicely with the mushiness of the mashed meat on the inside. Pork skewers were grilled and basted to sweet perfection, smoky, tender and juicy. Meat lovers will really enjoy this – I certainly did 😀
Fried Basil Leave with Pork (RM 10), Pork Leg with Rice (RM 10), as well as Noodle in Thickened Soup (RM 7) not only looks terrific but decently portioned as well. Add on the BBQ stuff. Grilled Pork Neck (RM 4) was delicious tender and juicy and best to go with some beer.
Would I come back? Maybe, just not on days when their crew is running at a bare minimum and live band playing.
If not this huge seafood tomyum pot? Then go for the popular pink soup. Yen Ta Fo (RM 39) represent hot pot with fishballs and tofu pieces and is another dish perfect for anyone who loves hot pot.
Rama’s Beloved Fried Donut Prawns (Tod Man Gong) (RM 18.90) Something NEW ! And this dish is sinfully good. The prawn donuts are made from the fresh minced meat together with prawns. It brings you with the crunchy bites of meat and inside moist, juicy and flavourful texture.
I found myself at Mr Tuk Tuk after a long, long time. So I ordered my favorites - Tom Yum Fried Rice and Almond Chicken. The fried rice was as good as ever!
The Tourism Authority of Thailand launched a new campaign which are "EAT THAI, VISIT THAILAND 2019". So, they are doing the collaboration with Mr Tuk Tuk, Thai restaurant in Starling Mall at Petaling Jaya, This campaign started from March 20 till April 30, 2019. Mr Tuk Tuk have 8 outlets that you can pay a visit to Mr Tuk Tuk restaurant, which are nearer your home or office area. Even, they also introduced some new dishes and drinks in Mr Tuk Tuk restaurant
Due out of curiosity, we also did order a set of Tuk Tuk Laksa RM10.80 – serving with a bowl of laksa broth, spice leaves, bean sprouts, salted vegetables, and rice vermicelli. The result was surprising “Aroi Mak Mak Mak” (very very very delicious), once you dipped the rice vermicelli into the laksa broth and start chowing, next thing you can savor is the rich mellow goodness of coconut milk that directly overcomes with a fine scent of dried shrimps, lemongrass and various spices. We regard it as a delectable “Thai” laksa at its best, definitely worth our personal two thumbs up! 😉
The Basil Rice Set to me was basically Pad Kra Pao and between the two dishes, both of us liked/ preferred it to the Green Curry. Why? Firstly because the minced pork meat was tasty and flavorful. Secondly because the Green Curry was diluted?? or rather it tasted like they used the powdered version of this dish. Yup
One thing that stands out from this restaurant than others is that they care much for their customers. For example the parking, they have monitoring screens showing the cars parked outside so the owners who are inside know if someone has been blocked by their cars or if something else is happening. This is a brilliant idea in my opinion.
虽然餐点的选择不是很多,但我还是光顾了很多次,因为价钱不贵,而且好吃。
The restaurant offers from dishes (to go with rice), noodles, 单座 Singles, Bites, to Sets and Platters as well as a variety of Thai style beverages (with prices from rm$10+ to rm30+).
1) Thai Fried Glass Noodles 2) Som Tam (Spicy Papaya Salad with shrimps)3) Thai Salted Fish Fried Rice4) Stir Fried Kangkung Sambal (Spicy Morning Glory Veg).
mr. Tuk Tuk, a Thai restaurant that always crowded with people. Every time pass by there sure have people queue up outside the restaurant. Wanted to try for a long time but when look at the queue will change my mind. It located at LG2, opposite Cold Storage. As always long queue but we managed to get a seat just a few minutes because of 2 sitter.
I highly recommend getting the Tom Yum (you can choose from chicken, seafood or shrimp). We ordered the chicken for 2 pax (RM39++). Taste wise, this is one of the better tom yum soups that I’ve had in the Klang Valley. Sour with a spicy kick (but not to the point that you breathe fire; just makes you sweat a little), it’s chock full of flavour from the lemongrass, chilli and other herbs. The chicken meat was also cooked to tender perfection. You can easily polish off bowls of rice with this.
Phad Thai Noodle was superb. It's served with a piece of lime, bean sprouts and chilli flakes. Guys, make sure to squeeze the lime over the noodles before you enjoy! Phad Thai Noodle @ RM 20.76
Phad Thai Noodles (udang) berharga RM20.76 (tanpa 6% gst dan 10% caj servis). Rasanya agak masin. Kacang, serbuk cili kasar, taugeh, limau dan telur juga diletakkan. Anda boleh gaul semua bahan tersebut sebelum makan. Harganya agak mahal sebab hanya ada 3 ekor udang sahaja.
Just loves the complimenting veggies like Crunchy Beans and Firm Spongy Oyster Mushrooms that absorbed the soup.
这里的服务员都是泰国人,有时候难免会有语言沟通的问题。但是感觉很道地,食物选择多而且水准都不错,可惜对我来说太远了,要不然真的可以常来呢~
9/10 Stars.. Price: Reasonable Services: Good & Friendly Environment: Cozy & Homey Food Type: Thai Cuisine Status: NON-Halal

A big plus factor here is the reasonable price.
不得不说这里的每一道菜都很好吃,很够味
Overall, Tommy Thongchai has good food for good prices and I foresee them becoming one of my favorite Thai restaurants to visit. Gauging by the crowd, I believe a lot of other people do so too.
Overall I love my stay here, this modern Thai Fusion Restaurant seems to be the perfect spot to unwind ourselves after a long week at work or you could just stop by for some good food, the environment is kids friendly too before the night gets too wild.
Simply yet delicious - Fried Mama Noodle
My friend suggested that we eat at Johnny Restaurant at One Utama for lunch. I have been to Johnny Restaurant in Bukit Bintang Plaza many, many years ago
The taste of the food still tasted like how they were years ago. I remembered I do still frequent them during my college days at the Alpha Angle Shopping Centre. My last visit, I guess was somewhere around in the mid of 2008. However, something worth mentioning is that, they have not raised their price since my college days. Isn't that amazing? Atmosphere: 5/10 Food: 6/10 Price: 7/10 Verdict: Be sure to indulge in to their decent desserts at a very reasonable price!

And then, have you heard of Vegetarian Restaurants with Set Lunch that is less than RM20? All the main dishes below are part of the set lunch with drinks (iced lemongrass) and also dessert of the day which happens to be warm brownies! And I thought vegetarian brownie would be tasteless - boy was I wrong!
Food is okay.

Mango Sticky Rice was delicious and it looks impressive when it was served on the table. Nevertheless, the portion is too small. Mango Sticky Rice @ RM 12
And of course their Thai Style Steamed Fish. The Thai Style Steamed Fish is one of my favourites for sure. The Thai Style Steamed Fish is served with the generous portion of lemongrass, minced garlic and coriander leaf . Bursting with the hot and spicy sensation, I am loving how they prepared the delightful item where the fish comes simply fresh too.
If you love Thai food but never tried Thai Corner At PJ New Town, you’re missing out! This restaurant has been operating for 30 years and is a well known restaurant throughout PJ and Subang.
My craving for Thai food hits quite often and I have a usual stall by a Thai lady I frequent near my place. However, she has limited items on her menu and tends to 'open shop' as and when she pleases. So this time, LC decided to introduce me to his favorite Thai restaurant in PJ State.
Pad Thai (RM 12.90) I tried their pad thai which is beautifully fried with the fresh ingredients. The taste comes perfectly good but it is slightly too wet for me. I prefer the pad thai with a more dryer version.
Back in August 2015, we ordered this Fish Thai Laksa at MYR 12.90++ (5% service charge and 6% GST = MYR 14.36 nett) at Old Siam eatery, One Utama and the price is still the same when I ate this a few days ago. Those are all the fish cubes from the fish curry. The curry is creamy but I find it a bit too salty and would prefer to be less salty.
Verdict: Offer reasonably priced quick meal such as one dish item and noodle , indeed not a bad choice in a shopping mall.
Being a big fan of Thai Food, I had finally visited Go Thai after a few recomendation by my readers and friends. Go Thai first started in SS2 and they had expended their wings to Atria Shopping
Khao Kha Moo (Pork Leg Rice) This is a best-seller dish, exactly the same good taste you get in Thailand, just add some chilli to enhance the flavour.
Definitely coming back again with my family and friends.
Signature Seafood Pot (RM63.20) A pot of seafood packed with assorted fresh seafood ingredients such as Barramundi, tiger prawns, squid, and mussels in a soup base of your choice. It is served in a choice of 4 Thai soup bases, such as Red Tom Yum, Clear Tom Yum, Tom Kha and Ma Nao. Loving their signature red Tom Yum soup.
New feature Thai Jim Jum RM63.20 Sweet is this pot of Thai Jim Jum. Lots of onions, lemongrass and other herbs in chicken broth makes this one a nutritious choice. Sufficient for 2-3 persons, this Thai steamboat comes with a platter of tiger prawns, chicken meat, clams and vegetables. After all the cooking, the super flavourful soup is something you would want to keep some room in your tummy for. Remember also to avail yourself to the three dips that comes together to give it more kick!
Eat Drink Thai is a pork free Thai restaurant and all the food are prepared by 3 different chefs from Thailand. Their signature seafood pot and Jim Jum hotpot are the must try as well as other signature dishes such as Crispy Papaya Salad, Pandan Chicken, Hatyai Fried Chicken, and Pineapple Fried Rice. As a "Thai food junkies", I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The place is clean, food are fresh and good quality, and the service is satisfying too. If you are also a Thai food lover, you can't go wrong with this place. Also, not to forget their affordable lunch sets at just RM8 with a glass of Thai Tea too! I will be back here for sure the next time to try out some other delicious food!
