When netizens posted photos about the massive Seafood Platter by Tambun Hai Restaurant (一品鲜), it took the breath away from me. The place was made famous due to its gigantic Seafood Platter that can literally serve up to 12 diners at one go. When it was first opened in June 2017, the place was flooded with adventurous gourmands waiting eagerly to dig in the tower of crustaceans; we made an attempt to visit but to no avail. 3 months later, we decided to try our luck again but it seems like the hype has faded and the place was less than half-occupied. For the uninitiated, the restaurant is known to serve Hot Pot fully covered with Seafood and the much-elaborated crustacean feast; but do not expect things to be cheap here. The cheapest set you can get is Rm 118, without additional add-ons, it is unlikely to be a tummy-filling meal. But let's forget about the price, the taste did not shine either, it was more for the novelty in lieu of absolute taste.
