Peranakan food is no stranger to Malaysians. Malaysians have always lived in the cultural sphere of Baba Nyonya, especially the food fusion of Malay and Chinese cooking – ayam pongteh, pie tee, cincalok, kari kapitan and many more.
We understand our guests fancies Peranakan cooking style and would like to have some traditional Melayu cooking style in the restaurant too. There’s the reason we innovate traditional Malay/Nyonya food with a modern twist on our recipe and menu. Now guests may enjoy both Peranakan and traditional Melayu cooking style at the same time.

Questions and Tips
Information & Tips about Alibaba & Nyonya - Mid Valley?
Yee Sang no. 3Delicious platter filled with 5 types of food item - 5 spice chicken rolls (similar to ngo hiong), crispy popiah, prawn kerabu, chicken and shrimp wanton and deep fried dumplings (sui gao) with what I thought was salted egg yolk fillings in them but later, I noticed that the poster printed "cheesy fortune cookies" as one of the items so it must be that this dumpling is filled with cheese and not salted egg yolk.

Flying Fish For FourDeep fried tilapia served with ulam - long beans, lady fingers, petai, cucumber, ulam raja and daun pegaga. The ulam is refreshing since some of them are raw and some of them are lightly blanched so we finished all of them in no time at all. The fish is crispy and tasty. It is quite similar to this Dancing Fish.
47BD3 Tamarind PrawnsFlavourful Nasi Ulam and Nasi Minyak. The Mutton in the curry is tender and delicious.
I think the prawns are grilled before having the Tamarind sauce poured over them because I can taste the natural sweetness of the prawns brought out by grilling. The prawns are very fresh and I hope they will always be this way when I visit this eatery again.
WG AB and NMy lunch which I kept half for dinner: Nasi ulam with a full chicken leg at MYR 25.50+ (MYR 28.05 nett). This is the only time I ate nasi ulam with bits of salted fish in it with lots of shredded herbs so it was very, very tasty. There are 2 types of raw vegetable/herb leaves which I am not familiar with but I ate them all with cucumber and raw petai. I tried a bit of the sambal belacan and it was not that spicy hot but very fragrant. This dish is worth a try.
