The safari of Klang, a really beautiful and interesting wall mural in a backlane.
The multi-coloured arches of the pre-war colonial shop-houses are attractive too! So don't go to Klang for it's renown Bak Kut Teh, come here and appreciate the art too.
Klang’s Snake Temple is an interesting look into the Malaysian Chinese community’s way of life, culture, and beliefs. It’s a unique mixture of adherence to long held traditions passed down through hundreds, perhaps thousands of years – combined with new influences shaped by centuries of migration and assimilation. Definitely one of the more unique temples around!
This is a fire station since 1950, and has a small but interesting museum. Sadly the fire engine was out on rescue mission during our visit.
A beautiful Indian Muslim mosque nestled among Little India in Klang.

Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam (National Botanical Gardens) is one of Selangor and Malaysia’s top destinations for eco/agrotourism.
Walaupun ramai yang komplen tentang kemudahan taman ini yang kurang di selenggara dengan baik, keseluruhannya masih memuaskan lagi. Lagipun harga tiket masuknya sangatlah murah.
Inside the beautiful Shah Alam National Botanical Park are the challenging Bukit Sapu Tangan, the beautiful Animal Park, and many other smaller gardens such as the Cactus Garden, Tropical Fruits Garden and more!
SACF is a selectively logged lowland rainforest. It is a part of the Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve, and home to the endangered Malayan Tapirs. Despite all these, the Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve is pretty much at great risk of degazettement. The Setia Alam Community Trails were initially built by the mountain bikers community, which rapidly gained popularity among hikers.

Though not a huge place, the building design and architecture looks very nice. No photography allowed in the inside of the main building. There is a garden with a koi pond to take a break.
To be honest, I’m surprised there isn’t more publicity for Kwan Imm Temple as a tourist attraction, given it’s rich history and beautiful architecture. While locals seem to know about it, I wouldn’t have found out about the place if I hadn’t specifically been googling “places to visit in Klang”.
At the end, there’s a small gift shop, including expensive miniature railway stuff and NFTs. MinNature is still partly under construction, so there is more to come, but we definitely felt we got more than enough value from our RM25 each.
There are also miniature workshop for visitors who interested to create his/her own masterpiece of the mini models.
What we thought would be an easy, hour-long walk turned into a two-hour excursion—but not an unpleasant one. If you cycle or jog, this is a great place to workout, soak in the sights, and breathe in the fresh air. I think it’s wonderful that we have such nice parks right in the middle of the city that offer a respite from the concrete jungle.
The media entourage had the chance to see, touch, smell and taste the beer at Probably the Best Brew House – a normally restricted area. At the sensory experience room, members of the press were briefed on the aroma of hops, the taste profile of yeast and the look of beer liquid with and without purification.

Cheerfully brightening up a concrete overpass, the Rainbow Bridge at Elmina Valley Central Park is KL’s latest Instagram hotspot and the endpoint of a bonus hike you can do from the Bukit Denai Alam trail.
This hike should take about two and a half hours, and there are no toilets anywhere on the trail. This is an easy hike with no rough terrain involved, aside from shallow stream crossings. The trail is flat with wide, clear paths for most of the way. There are no steep climbs, in fact, there is barely any slope to the terrain. Despite the lack of challenge for serious hikers, the Bukit Denai Alam hike has gorgeous views of the lake and scenic paths through rows of perfectly spaced palm trees.
Funtopia is located in SS15 Courtyard Mall on the 1st Floor. The entry fee is RM24 per child on weekday for all attractions for 1 hour. Once you have registered and paid, your child will be equipped with a safety harness and hats and first taken around the Rope Course. The children then get the option of choosing which wall to climb or any activity they are interested to try, and the staff will assist in setting them up. So far we've visited Funtopia twice, both times on a weekday. On our first visit, our kids enjoyed themselves more as the person-in-charge was much more helpful; he would guide them and give them encouragement whenever they got stuck on a certain climbing wall. I liked the way he spoke to the kids and gave them confidence to try out new things. I also think that your children need to be a certain height for them to enjoy most of the play area (we noticed Daniel struggling with some of the walls cos his legs were not "long enough" lol).
I completed the whole course after 2 hours, while the last person to get back to the starting point was around 4 pm.
In my opinion after tried both their Big Thrill and Extreme Challenge, Big Thrill is really not that challenging anymore. My advice, if you would like to go for Big Thrill...just go for Extreme Challenge. The outcome of your self challenge will be surprisingly amazing!
