For sashimi lover, you won’t be complaining the freshness of the seafood here and we hope they still offer this. Love every piece of seafood sashimi on this platter. It is served cold, the texture is good, the taste is still fresh and it is awesome when you dipped on to light soy sauce and real wasabi.

No Japanese meal is complete without a dose of mentaiko, so an order of Mentaiko-Seared Tamadon @ RM14.90 is a must. Four thick slices of fluffy-sweet tamago, blanketed by savoury-creamy mentaiko that's blowtorched to smoky perfection and (this time) even finished with a sprinkling of salty furikake for an absolutely yummy combination of savoury-creamy-sweet flavours. Kids would adore this...as would (some) adults! ^.^

Most of what we had here were thoroughly enjoyable (some outstanding, very few misses)....plus the hits far outweigh the misses, so this place continues to please us with their fresh, decent tasting and affordably-priced Japanese food. More visits to come, for sure! ^_*

The 2nd thing to grace their presence to our table is the beautiful Pacific oysters (RM7.90 per piece) and they not only limited to the pacific oysters; they have an array of different nationality of oysters which they will feature in their menu! We were rather surprised that their oysters are really reasonable in price and the verdict is that the oysters are really fresh and succulent with the slight brine of the ocean that you would normally associate oysters with..

Explanation from wiki online: "Poke (Hawaiian for "to section" or "to slice or cut") is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine, and sometimes as a main course". In recent years, some restaurants in USA have started making poke bowls which includes rice or some other healthy options like quinoa or cous cous and the trend has reached here. In the poke bowl above, there are tiny cubes of raw salmon marinated in a slightly spicy sauce, slices of cucumbers, guacamole, calrose rice, furikake, bits of seaweeds, sesame seeds, ebiko mixed with some sort of vinegar so it is very flavourful with lots of different tastes going on at the same time.

Anyone up for something more wholesome or suitable for solo dining can go for udon or rice bowls. Gyudon + Onsen Tamago (RM 17.90) uses prime Australian beef slices but I don’t think it should be the reason to visit. Even the usually appealing Salmon Ikura Don (RM 23.90) were underpinned by excellent cut of sashimi earlier.

We loved it as much as we did the first time although prices (depending on what you order) may not seem that casual due to the smallish portions. Great for small eaters who can probably get away with spending just under RM100 per person. Expect to fork out more than RM100 per person in order to fully satisfy a bigger eater. Since I'm fine with smaller portions, this place still delivers for us in terms of freshness and taste. I'm absolutely certain I'll be returning for more! ^o^

The ambience and decor here is unlike the type of Japanese restaurants you'd usually encounter, so come here solely for the freshness of the food. Your best bets here might be the poke bowls....and the freshness of their seafood. Prices seem reasonable but portions can be a little small, so that will bump up your bill as you'll need to order more. Great for small-eaters who want to sample more dishes but bigger eaters might need 3 or more dishes to be fully satisfied. But quality (and freshness) is undeniable.

Last weekend, Hubby and I visited the newly opened Eatomo Food Co, located in Taman Danau Desa. Eatomo is a casual eatery with a menu showcasing fresh seafood and Japanese delicacies. As you enter the restaurant, you will be greeted by a display of seafood, including red snapper, oysters, ayu (sweet fish), as well as packs of sashimi, ikura and chuka wakame. Other than dine in, customers can also purchase the seafood on display. For now, the seafood selection may vary depending on availability (check their Facebook page for updates).
