One of the signature (and popular) dishes here is the Nasi Ayam (RM55), aka chicken rice. Guests can opt for either roasted or poached chicken. We went for the roasted chicken and I was impressed by the generous portion that arrived. Tastewise, the chicken was tender and comes with three different dipping sauce - chilli, ginger and sweet soy sauce. The rice was pretty good too, as it was fragrant and flavorful. Overall, a pretty authentic rendition of a Malaysian favourite.

On the other hand, Baby D's favorite was the Duck Spaghetti (RM28) with confit tomato and quinoa. Of course this ain't no ordinary pasta - the duck is braised with spices and wood ear fungus. It tastes just like the braised Hakka pork dish, only this is made with duck since the restaurant is pork-free. The quinoa gives extra texture to the dish and the tomatoes are slowly cooked with assam boi (and the result is amazing, a mini umami bomb).

Chicken @ RM 45, add on with bentong ginger and lotus crips. As for this dish, I have no idea what to say as for us being local, we had too much street food and I felt that I am just eating “atas” Hainanese Chicken. not much twist of it. Too normal for my liking even knowing the meat is sous vide.

Pad Thai with Chicken, 24 ringgit. I had the Chicken Pad Thai which came in a generous portion and since I was hungry, this suited me just fine. I liked how they provided me with quite a bit of crushed peanuts, lots of eateries provide barely enough. Here, it was enough to be spread everywhere. There was quite a bit of chicken meat, lightly fried in thin batter. I usually like my dishes spicy, so I added in the chili flakes and once everything is mixed, it was yummy!

If you're craving juicy yet good quality steaks, then this no-frills place for meat, cooked the Japanese way with simply just salt and black pepper, is definitely worth a visit. Although I won't go as far as to say that the steaks here are cheap since some of the wagyu beef can go as high as RM200, you can still find some very reasonably-priced and affordable Australian beef cuts for around RM25. So, go with what you think is within your budget. Besides a meat fest, there are plenty more food options here (like sushi, sashimi, tempura and bento) though I'll be more tempted by the lust of gorgeous meat more than anything else if I'm here again!

Urban is rather humble despite the exquisite fine dining menu it serves. For gourmands who have had a taste of Urban’s menu through the years, they will attest that Chef Sharusmizal Salleh and his award winning culinary team has served some of the finest European dishes in the city. The team of talented chefs have been making headlines in several international as well as local culinary competition through their intensive and creative training of producing European fine dining menu couple injected with local ingredients. 3-Course Set Dinner RM150 nett (Appetizer, Main Course, Dessert) Gourmet Set Dinner RM210 nett (Amuse Bouche, Appetizer, Gourmet Special Main Course, Dessert) 7-Course Degustation RM250 nett (Chef’s Special Menu)
