Our room…was HUGE…unlike the little cubicles that one would have to put up with in the newer hotels these days. The queen and single beds were just perfect for the three of us and the room rate was very cheap too, only around RM225.00 inclusive of breakfast, RM195.00 if you choose to go without.
Reasons to stay at Cove 55: beautiful location; only 30-minutes from Kuching airport; clean, crisp design; warm hospitable service; not only ideal for a peaceful getaway but would also make a fantastic location for organized retreats; close to wondrous sites such as Bako National Park.
Overall, The Culvert Resort at Santubong warrants a night stay for a short escapade. Any stay stretch beyond 2 days 1 night will be deemed luxury and boring, unless you have other plans to explore around Santubong such as Sarawak Cultural Village, or even a hiking adventure to Mount Santubong.
Let's have a look at the resort room first. It features classic woody and simple design, no television, poor Wi-Fi connectivity (you may have to purchase the access) and no air-conditioner. Fret not, as the weather here is chilling and the ceiling fan can do most of the cooling job.
